“Family Guy” creator Seth MacFarlane has signed a record deal with Universal Republic to release his debut album. Credit The Hollywood Reporter for reporting this story.
MacFarlane’s album will be in the 1940s and ’50s show tunes paying tribute to Broadway classics. The songs will not be parodies and spoofs but actual renditions of classic songs. MacFarlane commonly sings the parody songs from his shows at live events and received an Emmy nomination for music and lyrics this year.
Check out the video below to hear how he sings compared to Dean Martin.
I’m glad for MacFarlane as I have always been a huge fan of “Family Guy” and he found another way to earn himself even more revenue.
