This is a very unique mashup as it doesn’t really sound much like a mashup. M&D; decided to sample the theme song from Nickelodeon’s Drake & Josh which is sung by Drake Bell. Then Wale and Drake are in it and their part’s are older material but still really good.
I really like Wale, the Drake Bell song is a dirty pleasure of mine (the song is catchy!), and Drake is really good when he’s not singing.

Some of you may have heard this song and some may not know who Fressh Kidd even is. However, he is quite a talent. I stumbled upon his song “Discover Me” (featuring Mikey French) a few months ago when I was on YouTube looking for new Kid Cudi music. Since then, it is on non-stop play on my phone. His sound is similar to Kid Cudi’s old style of music and is another laid back and relaxing track. I hope you enjoy it!
Asher Roth has been coming out with many new tracks recently. He has been working closely with Nottz a lot as well and their song “Dontcha Wanna Be (My Neighbor)” featuring Colin Munroe is the newest song of theirs to hit the streets. It has the typical Asher Roth relaxing feel to it and is really nice to kick back and smoke a blunt to. Enjoy!
This is a really interesting track. It builds slow and then picks up to something really awesome, almost epic. I can’t describe how awesome this track sounds, it’s almost like Kanye’s “Love Lockdown” but less weird, longer, and more interesting.

Gilbere Forte’ was born in Flint, Michigan, moved to Chicago, then moved to Philadelphia where he pursued a career in music by attending Temple University. Above is his single off his debut album which I will get to later.
The rapper/producer did some freestyles and remixes and in February this year put out a mixtape sampler, entitled Gilbere Forte’ is BLVCK (download). This summer, Gilbere released his debut album through Anigma/RPM Grp Records, 87 Dreams with his popularity increasing further.
After his remix to the song “Alors on Danse” by Belgian artist Stromae alongside Kanye West, I and many other blogs started to take notice.
Today I bring you two songs Gilbere did remixes over. The first is a remix to the Freelance Whales song called “1st Floor” and the second is a remix to Yeasayer’s remix to the Florence & The Machine song called “Dog Days Are Over”. I like “1st Floor” more, it’s more catchy and it’s produced by a member of Passion Pit who I love.

Last week, Colin Munroe mashed-up La Roux’s “Bulletproof” with Nicki Minaj’s verse from Kanye’s song “Monster”. At first I was iffy on it but after a few listens I do enjoy how the songs mix and things its a good effort by Colin Munroe. This is the second installment off The Revox Suite, which are a series of remixes from Colin Munroe.
Today, Chris Webby released “Bulletproof” (credit 2DB), which sample’s La Roux and has Webby and Joell Ortiz rapping over it. This is the first leak off Chris Webby’s upcoming mixtape. I really like Chris Webby tracks when he samples other music and this is another good track from Webby.
Above is the teaser for the song and below is the CD quality to listen and download. Not a fan of Yo Gotti, but a real big fan of Wale, J. Cole and Wiz Khalifa, who are featured on this track. It’s got a great beat and everybody just kills it with their flow (except Yo Gotti).

Just sent to us today, “Rap n’ Roll” is Frank Fetti’s newest leak off his upcoming mixtape, Sex, Drugs, & Automobiles, which is set to drop on October 11th. I really enjoy this song. It is very up beat and gets you pumped up. This is a great song to pre-game too and will catch on around college campuses really soon!
