The Chain Gang of 1974 – Undercover

April 14th, 2011 by | Alternative/Indie |

I recently caught the fast-rising indie act THE CHAIN GANG OF 1974 in Denver, and I was very impressed by the performance. Kamtim Mohager AKA THE CHAIN GANG OF 1974 has a very cool dance vibe to his music, which seems to be a departure from a lot of the low-fi stuff that seems to be taking over. His track “Undercover” has influences like LCD Soundsystem and Talking Heads, but all with a more modern sound. It’s definitely a fun listen.

THE CHAIN GANG OF 1974’s upcoming album “Wayward Fire” is due out June 21st. If you’re in Colorado, you can catch THE CHAIN GANG OF 1974 playing a free show in Vail this friday supporting Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. If you’re not, just follow the CHAIN GANG on Facebook. He’s about to embark on a huge national tour, and you should check him out when he comes to your city.
