Stalley – Summer in America (Prod. Rashad)

June 18th, 2011 by | Hip-Hop/Rap |

Maybach Music-ite and Rick Ross beard competitor Stalley just dropped a new track, “Summer in America.” With the timing, you’d think this would be a summer BBQ chill-out track, but it’s actually an introspective song that pays homage to the late Gil Scott-Heron. The beat is super chill and frequent collaborator Rashad is smooth on the hook, but the heart of the track comes from Stalley’s powerful lyricism. He raps about the struggles faced by many Americans and uses “Summer in America” to urge people to not use the summer weather to forget about some of the issues facing many people.
