Vexare live *electronic/dubstep review

August 8th, 2011 by | Concert/Festival Review, Dance, Dubstep, Reviews |

Last Thursday I saw 15-year old DJ Vexare rock a private fan show near Hollywood. His set lasted an hour and a half and I liked a lot of it except for a couple things: too much dubstep and the audience being around the same age as the DJ. However all in all it was a great show and well worth the $10 ticket price.

His set had 2 parts to it, the first was his mix of electronic music which I enjoyed a lot. Then most of the 2nd part of his set included some womping dubstep, which at times sounded great and other times sounded like he was overdoing it. I wish I could remember exactly what songs I loved the most but I was fortunate enough to hear some great originals, remixes and lots of fun even though I might have been the oldest person there besides the parents of the artists performing that night.

Here’s a mini-mix of Vexare‘s upcoming album, Robot Noises Among Other Things, and a couple others from his soundcloud that I really enjoy.
