Poolside – Harvest Moon (Neil Young cover) *Daytime Disco

September 28th, 2011 by | Disco |

artworks 000010196371 tz9smr original 600x600 Poolside Harvest Moon (Neil Young cover) *Daytime DiscoSome daytime disco from Poolside. Here’s what they said about the song on soundcloud:

We felt like we needed to give people some new music they could listen to while we are finishing up our album. We thought a cover would be a good idea and since we both love “Harvest Moon” we decided to give it a try. It’s super intimidating to cover Neil Young so we tried to make it a lot different, just so we didn’t have to “compete” with the master….

This song is super relaxing!

Show Review: Electric Drip At Premiere Supper Club in Hollywood

mail 600x358 Show Review: Electric Drip At Premiere Supper Club in Hollywood

Early last week, I posted about up-and-coming dubstep duo Electric Drip saying how much I love their unique style of music. Just a couple of days after that, I got to see them live and was extremely impressed. Though I knew already that their music was impressive, seeing them perform live at the Premiere Supper Club in Hollywood made me like them even more. They provided so much energy during their performance and with style.

Their tracks off Brainwash  that they performed were the most sensational and got the entire crowd up and dancing on their feet. This was Electric Drip’s first show in LA and hopefully not their last. They put on a great show which I know anyone a fan of dubstep and electronic music as a whole will enjoy!

Take a listen to Brainwash below. You will not regret it…

Skrillex – Bangarang

September 27th, 2011 by | Dance, Dubstep, Electro |

Skrillex BangarangThis should be a pleaser to all of our dubstep fans. I’ve had a low quality version of Skrillex ”Bangarang” floating around my iTunes library for about a week. But now that I’ve got the high quality version, I’m sharing it with you for maximum bumpage. Skrillex continues to impress me by consistently making good dubstep. With a lot of vocals (for a Skrillex song), this one will keep you listening.

bynh 4 cover art 600x388 BeforeBigs.com presents: Best You Never Heard 4 Summer DreaminWe are proud to present “Best You Never Heard 4: Summer Dreamin’”, which features 22 tracks from the best up-and-coming artists that many of you might not have heard of. After three successful Best You Never Heard mixtape’s, we decided to continue displaying versatility in the type of songs selected for this mixtape series, with a little bit of everything to fill your ears.

Some guidelines we stuck by included choosing artists that, as of today, have less than 10,000 fans on facebook or twitter. We are proud to say many of the songs below cannot be defined by a single genre. The songs below we believe stand out from the other up-and-coming artists out there and display a unique sound that shows their true potential.

Below is the 22-track playlist to listen to and links to download Best You Never Heard 4.

Far Too Loud – Wake Up LA *Electro House

September 27th, 2011 by | Electro, Electronic Tuesday, House |

Far Too Loud Wake Up LA *Electro HouseI think this song is perfect just about now, especially since it’s a little after 7:30am in Los Angeles and the song is called “Wake Up LA”. Really loving all the banging sounds from this electro house song from Far Too Loud. Kind of funny throwing this song up early in the morning but hopefully this wakes your ass up because having the case of the Mondays should never occur on Tuesdays.

Caught A Ghost – Relentless *new school indie soul

September 26th, 2011 by | Alternative/Indie |

artworks 000011936089 2vqeji original 600x600 Caught A Ghost Relentless *new school indie soulThis song is timeless. I could easily go back in time and hear this song and enjoy it just about as much as I would today. Caught A Ghost has serious talent with their indie electro soul that reminds me of Fitz & The Tantrums.
