The Dean’s List – “The Dream” (Music Video)

November 30th, 2011 by | Hip-Hop/Rap, Music Video |

Earlier this week, The Dean’s List dropped the visuals for their track “The Dream” which is off their critically-acclaimed mixtape The Drive-In. A solid music video for a legit track is what we’ve expect from this group for a while now. They have been killing it this year, touring the country performing shows and gaining a much larger audience in the process. This group (especially Sonny Shotz) have bright futures ahead of them. Enjoy!

With a great season came amazing music which is a big reason why the show is so successful. Scott Vener really chose the perfect songs at the right moments of each episode. Below are my 10 favorite tracks from Season 2.  In addition, the 10 best tracks from Season 1 will be included as well. Enjoy!

Jhameel – Wicked *Michael Jackson influenced

November 29th, 2011 by | Pop, Rock |

Here’s Jhameel‘s latest from his Waves series, “Wicked”. I like the high energy, dance style of the pop/rock jam “Wicked”, one of my more favorite upbeat tunes from Jhameel.

Saint Motel – At Least I Have Nothing x Puzzle Pieces (video)

November 28th, 2011 by | Alternative/Indie, Music Video, Rock |

Here’s what Saint Motel told us regarding their latest song, “At Least I Have Nothing”.

I wanted to send you over the new Saint Motel song, “At Least I Have Nothing”.  It’s kind of a contrast to our last song “Puzzle Pieces” and will be the other song on our upcoming 7″, which is available now for pre-order at http://giftshop.saintmotel.com/product/7-1-saint-motel-vinyl.

Like every Saint Motel song, the meaning is open to (and encouraged for) interpretation. In some ways, “At Least I Have Nothing” is a fucked up look at the bright side of utter despair.  When you have nothing, maybe that nothingness is actually something…freedom.

White Rhino – “New York City”

November 28th, 2011 by | Alternative/Indie, Hip-Hop/Rap |

“New York City” is the lead single for The White Rhino‘s next album The Journey of Julian Rhine, which is due out next month. The female singer on the hook is Kristine Kubat, who is a constant part of his live band, and an amazing singer.

The album was produced entirely with Jonathan Rice, who produced Rhino’s last album as well. Together, the two of them have a special skill in turning basic live instrumentation into a completely original, massive sound. Rhino’s music has definitely evolved from his earlier stuff and it sounds like he can craft a sound that no one else in the game is banging. The album will be coming out for free next month, and a friend of ours called it “a deeply layered, dark, comedic, and drippingly original work.”
