So recently Wolfgang Gartner has been putting out tons of remixes and mashups so we thought what better way to write about them then combine them all in one post filled with great music. Enjoy!

Following their collaborative success with ‘I’ll Wait For You’ on John Dahlbäck’s Mutants Records, Faustix and Imanos return from the studio with a sensational new remix for Swedish pop act Niki & The Dove. Featuring powerful, uplifting synths combined with heavy drops, the track is another belter from the duo that highlights their impressive production ability. Soundcloud’s Best: February *Sound Avatar, Mac Sharks, Kat Krazy, Jef-n-Tim

February 29th, 2012 by | Dance, Drum & Bass, Dubstep, Electro, House, Remix, Soundcloud's Best |

So we got four banging electronic songs that we believe were our best soundcloud song submissions of February. If you think you got tracks better than this, please share to our soundcloud dropbox. Check out all our best soundcloud submissions here.

First we got a three song set from Sound Avatar, whose cutting edge music production, creativity and innovation is ready to be showcased in his first full length EP. This EP ranges from Dubstep to Moombahcore, mixing dj experience, diverse drum patterns and heavy bass drops into one monstrous package.

Next comes Mac Sharks whose progressive house sound keeps us paying attention to his improvements as a DJ. This time he does a banging remix to Beyonce‘s “End of Time” so at least there’s excellent vocals to go along with the house style of Sharks.

Here’s another remix, this time from Kat Krazy to a Foster the People song. No it’s not a remix to “Pumped Up Kicks” but it’s to FTP’s next single “Don’t Stop”. This has Columbia and Sony Records behind it so you know Kat Krazy‘s has the support to become a huge DJ act. Keep an eye on this artist as they really change up the original FTP song adding some nice complexions in the electronic synths.

Lastly we got Jef-n-Tim with a track called “Woopie”. This has an electro-house sound, nice progressions to it and overall tells me the Jef-n-Tim duo have some potential.

Vote on your favorite track below!

Electronic Tuesday: Silver Medallion *3 new songs+music video!

February 28th, 2012 by | Dubstep, Electro, Electronic Tuesday, Electropop, House, Music Video, New Wave |

As part of our latest edition of Electronic Tuesday, we present you the three latest songs from up-and-comer Silver Medallion.

The first track, “The Young and The Reckless” has a heavy hitting Electro backdrop along with Silver Medallion‘s high energy vocals to make it perfect for those who live by the motto “live fast, die young”.

Next is a collaborative effort from Silver Medallion and Feature Cuts. Once you take a listen to the track, the duo compliments each other quite nicely and their style of music together is unlike anything that is being currently released.

The last track, I’d rather take a quote from Silver Medallion explaining his song with Dunson:

“Trainwreck is a saga of New York City bars, a story of people too in love with themselves to see past the whiskey glasses. I feel the sounds of the beat replicate the darkness and intensity of that yearning party night, when you’re looking in a girls eyes and don’t see anything there, when you’re walking in the cold spinning drunk, when you wake up wondering why you’re life is the way it is.” – Silver Medallion

There’s a video for “Trainwreck” too. Watch it below.

Ann Lee – Voices (CONTΛCT Remix) *must-listen HOUSE

February 28th, 2012 by | Electronic Tuesday, House, Remix |

Shout out to EDM Rolodex for sending this our way, especially considering this dude goes to the school I graduated from, Syracuse University.

This is one of CONTΛCT‘s first cracks at making original music with his remix to Ann Lee‘s “Voices”. This is such a catchy, house song that reminds me of Avicii with how he utilizes the piano in the beat and the house vibe throughout.

If you told me this is Avicii‘s next single, I would totally believe it! Stream and download “Voices” below.

Jazz Cartier – Jet Plane *alternative hip-hop

February 28th, 2012 by | Alternative/Indie, Hip-Hop/Rap |

Jazz Cartier continues to improve with each track he drops. Here’s his first release of 2012 and it might be my favorite from the 18-year old Toronto MC. This is first leak off of Marauding in Paradise set to release April 14th. Don’t sleep on this young cat!

Cartier’s “Jet Plane” samples Angus And Julia’s song, “Big Jet Plane”. Download “Jet Plane”

Paz – Young Broke & Fameless 2 (mixtape)

February 27th, 2012 by | Album/Mixtape/EP Review, Hip-Hop/Rap, Pop |

A couple weeks ago, Paz released his follow up to Young Broke & Fameless with Young Broke & Fameless 2 (download). I believe it’s a must-listen tape if you like songs that mix elements of hip-hop with pop. I would put Paz in an acoustic hip-pop category, which isn’t occupied by many other artists as Paz is truly unique with a very appealing sound.

Stream Young Broke & Fameless 2 below. My two favorites include “Beautiful Lies” and “Whiskey and Cocaine” but I enjoy almost all the tracks on this mixtape including the song featuring Tayyib Ali.
