Video: Kinetics & One Love – Butterfly Effect *must-watch

March 31st, 2012 by | Music Video |

New Kinetics & One Love video that I highly recommend watching. It’s for their song, “Butterfly Effect” which has this chill-hop vibe with real inquisitive lyrics about how everything that happens to us, even unfortunate events, could have unintended and even fortunate consequences later on down the line.

“Butterfly Effect” is off Kinetics last mixtape, What Model Are You?. Watch this interesting video to “Butterfly Effect” below. (more…)

I love this song and this video is just about as great with footage from all the amazing fans of The Knocks who are amazing live! Plus there’s a cameo from Chiddy Bang!

Rogerseventytwo – You Take Me Higher (Kids At The Bar Remix) *electro house

March 30th, 2012 by | Electro, House, Remix |

Here’s a fairly new remix from Kids At The Bar to an artist I’ve never heard of. It sounds like they took a disco song and gave it a bumping electro-house style to it. This is a rager remix, a must-listen BANGER and if you don’t know about the Kids At The Bar yet, check ’em out on soundcloud for all their music.

Hidden Gem: Dean Risko *more talented than Mike Posner?

March 30th, 2012 by | Hidden Gem, Pop |

Dean Risko reminds me of Mike Posner with more introspective lyrics, better vocals but without the backing of a major label. Shouts to SUPERGOODMUSIC on the find.

Dean Risko was born in South Africa, raised in Salt Lake City and now singing, rapping and writing songs in Los Angeles.

Listen and download Dean Risko’s debut project, Trouble EP. It’s a must-download!

Watch the official music video to my favorite Risko song, “Trouble”, below.

Sex Ray Vision – Relax EP *must-listen!

March 29th, 2012 by | Album/Mixtape/EP Review, Electro, House |

With 9 fist-pumping, party rocking, eargasmic original instrumental tracks, 6 being unheard until now, Sex Ray Vision has been hard at work on his debut EP, Relax. Featuring the previously released, addictive track “Blowfish,” along with two freshly added productions that have been called their best work yet, this EP is sure to get the girls on the floor and blow the top off any house party!

Hoodie Allen – No Interruption

March 29th, 2012 by | Hip-Hop/Rap, Music Video |

From Hoodie Allen:

Since the end of the summer I’ve been working in the studio non-stop on my first retail EP titled All American. Set to drop April 10th, All American is a totally original record (yes that means no samples!) and is the first record I will have ever put up for sale on iTunes.

So this is something completely new for me. I’ve built most of my following online based around 2 ideas –1. free mixtapes and 2. creative use of sampling. With this new project, I’ve worked really hard to expand upon the sound that my fans love while actually creating all the songs from scratch.

Today, I’m proud to present you with “No Interruption”, the first single and music video off of All American. I think this is my favorite song I’ve ever made and the coolest video I’ve ever been apart of. We really set out to make something cinematic and super fun to watch—mucht hanks to the director Charles Alan Whitcher, for creating a concept that keep sup with the high energy of the song.

Stream and buy Hoodie Allen’s debut iTunes single, “No Interruption”.

Capital Cities just keeps getting better! I’m a huge fan of this Los Angeles duo and their latest song, “Kangaroo Court” is an pop electro rock must-listen, must-download track. It’s truly a gem from a band that will be touring all over the world by next year… let’s hope I’m right.

Video: Smokey Robotic – The Shark & The Helicopter *trippy alternative awesome

March 28th, 2012 by | Alternative/Indie, Music Video |

What the fuck is going on in this video? What are these lyrics about? I have so many questions and yet am so intrigued and find myself watching the video again and again. Smokey Robotic never ceases to surprise us with their video and lyrical content. With their latest video, “The Shark & The Helicopter”, they show ice-cream melting in the background of radient colors as just one example of the random intriguing visuals they provide all set in the backdrop of New York City.

Watch “The Shark & The Helicopter” below. Would love to hear some of your comments regarding the song and video!
