The Las Vegas warrior Dizzy Wright simply never stops! Dizzy has been grinding his ass off for years and is finally making a name for himself after signing with Funk Volume in November 2011. Dizzy recently dropped arguably one of the best albums of 2012 “Smoked Out Conversations”. Dizzy has been dropping tracks left and right with features from some of the games heavy hitters like Hopsin, SwizZz and even the white boy from the Burbs Chris Webby.
“Teamwork Makes The Dream Work” is just one of the breath taking tracks off of the album. Dizzy is one of my all time favorite artists for a reason. He has qualities that a lot of emcees lacks these days; Flow, Lyrics and and love for his fans. It seems like everybody wants to be a rapper in this day and age. So its good to see artists like Dizzy Wright show love for the people who backed him in making it as far as he has and most importantly, show love for the fans. “Teamwork Makes The Dream Work” is just another example of why Dizzy Wright is my favorite artist in the game right now.
With no further adieu I give you “Teamwork Makes The Dream Work”.
Britain’s blues-rock group, The Duke Spirit, summonsed artists Kid Acne and Dscreet for direction in the video for their new track “Glorious”. Featuring excerpts from Kid Acne’s Stabby Women film series, the tracks’ postmodern force is enhanced by the ominous and heavily contrasted black and white images. Leila Moss’ voice is as sexy as ever with unabating grungy melodies, mirroring the paganistic imagery in the Stabby Women clip.
Watch the video to “Glorious” below. (more…)
Have you heard any Surf Ratchet yet? Well, even The Freshmen like a good party every now and then. A-Wolf, Kristo and THX are back to deliver some brand new goodness…
Luke DeWilde (formerly of The Summer Knights) may be on to something. Granted hip hop, folk and electronic have been around for years and the mixing of the three is nothing new, The Wilde has stumbled on a fusion of these genres, appropriately titling his new album MellowHop / Electrofolk. Slowing rap down to a spoken word level combined with grungy rock guitar riffs and of course the hisses of synths, this album is definitely prospect for a jammin future.
Give The Wilde’s track, “SSA”, a listen! Driven by a decompressed U2 “Streets Have No Name” guitar melody, “SSA” expresses Luke’s exploration of folk, hip hop and electro.

Medusa is about life situations that leave us immobilized; and women who make it difficult to love. While working on their debut album “The Sunset LP”, Sound Fx often times got side tracked and distracted, as is the nature of creative arts.
Medusa is the outcome of those random thoughts and unforgettable life experiences according to the LA hip-hop duo. This project is bit more experimental than previous work which is what hip-hop needs and I respect as they explore music outside their comfort zone. Stream Medusa below.
