We are only 3 weeks away from the release of Timothy Rhyme‘s third studio album release, in collaboration with Phil The Pain, “Vintage” on July 3. Timothy Rhyme and Phil The Pain reached out to a plethora of talented emcees to be a part of this project including: Blu (XXL Magazine Freshmen) and many other rappers who are a mix of the top up-and-coming and underground hip-hop artists in the US. This is sure to be a must-listen project and today the duo just released a promo video with the release of “Grown Man”.
Timothy Rhyme and Phil The Pain are part of the First Dirt movement which is about bringing back vintage hip-hop, to when originality and honest lyrics were more prevalent in the rap game. Watch the music video for “Grown Man” below.
With a smooth voice and proactive, positive message, Timothy Rhyme and Phil The Pain give us hope that rappers haven’t lost the roots of Old School sound and morals while ‘spitting’ lyrics of today’s personal issues and concerns. In Grown Man, the single release from Vintage to be released July 3, a story of a young man with an old soul evokes the power of rap.
Here’s their latest mp3 release, “D.R.E.A.M.”.
