Although we haven’t heard from Steven Frumess  in a while, he’s back with a new hit, “Passion”, an awesome track perfect for the chill vibes of Summer coming up.

In this song, Steven seems to be discussing his “love and pleasure” for creating and playing the music he develops. In this video there are three different artistries displayed with the artist’s going through their creative process and expressing their passions for what they love.

He’s put a lot of hard work into making this song and video and it will certainly pay off. I’m hoping to hear more from Steven Frumess in the near future. Enjoy!

Review: Air Dubai & For The Foxes at The Roxy

Last week we saw Air Dubai and For The Foxes perform at the legendary music venue The Roxy on Sunset Boulevard. For the most part it was a very solid show. However there were a few turn offs.

Air Dubai’s music is great and very cutting edge. I really love their alternative hip-hop vibe. However, their sound system and drummer were way to loud. Therefore it was really tough to hear the singers and gain a full appreciation for the music being played.

If they lowered the sound a little bit and got rid of the drummer, it would be perfect. The drummer should only be used if they ever perform at large festivals and not for small, intimate music venues. If they can fix those things I mentioned above, then their live shows will be taken to a whole other level. Below is my favorite song of theirs that they performed from the night.

Air Dubai – “All Day”:

Next up on stage was For The Foxes. I never heard of them prior to their set and in all honesty, was not much of a fan. The smooth instrumental’s were solid but the main singer seemed like he was trying too hard to be a singer from One Direction. His extremely high voice was just not cutting it for me. Maybe it’s just not my type of music. My favorite track of theirs from the night is below.

For The Foxes – “The Revolution”:

Anyways here’s my review of KissesYACHT and Poolside at All Bands On Deck.

artworks 000045073630 e6m3a5 t500x500 New must listen track: The Knocks Modern Hearts ft. St. LuciaFirst off, I love The Knocks! Secondly, I’m increasingly becoming a big fan of St. Lucia the more I hear their music. Thirdly, I love this collaboration and if you don’t, maybe you don’t like dancing, which is understandable because if you don’t like dancing, that’s probably because you don’t think you know how to dance…. hey dum dum, everybody knows how to dance, just freaking move to the beat of the song!

Anyways, stream this infectious dance/electro pop track below, it’s quite the jam!

Review: Gold Fields & Capital Cities at LA Live

April 9th, 2013 by | Concert/Festival Review |

b6208b8c9d8a11e28cc022000a9f308d 7 600x600 Review: Gold Fields & Capital Cities at LA LiveAbout 10 days ago, I witnessed Gold Fields and Capital Cities perform a free live performance put together by Pandora next to the Staples Center in LA Live. They closed off the street for the performances of these two up-and-coming electronic pop acts and overall they both killed it with high energy performances, getting the crowd to dance and sometimes sing along although I felt most of the people there only knew one song, “Safe & Sound”. Unfortunately, there could have been way more music fans at this show but Pandora and LA Live didn’t advertise this free show, which was actually a show to help support the NCAA March Madness tournament.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention that Capital Cities performed three amazing covers too: Sinead O’Connor’s “Nothing Compares”, Madonna‘s “Holiday” and the Bee Gees “Stayin’ Alive”. I had hadn’t heard the Bee Gees cover but when I did, I was ecstatic and really loved how they added this electronic element while keeping everybody dancing to the catching disco tune.

I had a great time and below are two of my favorite songs performed.

The picture at the top of the post is the horn player from Capital Cities, who decided to jump off stage into the crowd during “Safe & Sound”, real incredible!
