Pretty Lights – “We Must Go On” x “I Know The Truth” x Led Zepplin

January 31st, 2012 by | Electronic Dance Music |

pretty lights

Derek Vincent Smith, aka Pretty Lights, has seen his popularity rise exponentially since he began dropping awesomely soulful hip-hop beats on the people of Colorado. The man with the awesome electric shows, and the bangin samples sprinkled throughout his music, truly represents everything that is right in the world of Electronic music. To say that Pretty Lights is a DJ would be an insult to this man; constantly mixing live and sampling all kinds of different genres, his concerts are more of an experience than anything else.

One of his newest tracks, I Know The Truth, was created with technology that dates back to the 1960’s; he even pressed his own vinyl in order to get the grungy feeling that he achieved on the track. His light shows bedazzle his fans and leave them asking for more once he plays his last track. Pretty Lights even created his own label signing artists of similar nature, and offering all the music to be downloaded for free, that is the spirit of EDM and Derek embraces it wholeheartedly.

Aylen – New Remixes of Rusko and Afrojack

January 26th, 2012 by | Electro, Remix |

Andrew Lin or, Aylen has been featured on the site multiple times, and every time, he has done nothing but kill his tracks. This kid can remix anything and everything, and they all flat out bang. Aylen will have a huge 2012 due to his funky electro style and his awesome ability to remix huge tracks no matter what genre they are in.

The first track, Aylen’s remix of Afrojack and Shermanology‘s “Can’t Stop Me” is straight fire. Where Afrojack inserts Dirty Dutch madness, Aylen switches that for flat out funky electro. Give this a listen and a DOWNLOAD and enjoy the hell out of it, cause it’s a party starter.

Afrojack & Shermanology – Can’t Stop Me (Aylen Remix)

The next track is Aylen’s take on a brand new Rusko track. And instead of change it’s style completely, he ventures into the Moombah category and succeeds above and beyond. This is a great track from Aylen, I picture this being played in the middle of a set in an effort to switch up styles a little bit, cause as we all know Moombah will get the people goin. Give this a listen and download, and turn it up.

Hidden Gem: Lucky Date *Chicago Producer/DJ

January 25th, 2012 by | Dubstep, Electro, Hidden Gem, Remix |

lucky date

Jordan Atkins-Loria, also known by his stage name Lucky Date, is a Chicago based Producer/DJ who is making some serious waves in the EDM industry. Originally hailing from California, Lucky Date has a great vibe emanating from his tracks. His style feels like a crossover between Porter Robinson and Skrillex with some sick electro synths and melodies thrown in. That is the best I can do to describe this awesome producer, his style is very unique and that’s a good thing.

Lucky Date is currently preparing to kick off the X-Tour with the likes of Excision and Liquid Stranger, two heavy hitters in the EDM world. He has done official remixes for The Crystal Castles, Greenskeepers, Richard Vission, Trash Yourself, Alex Kidd USA, Vhs or Beta, Lazy Rich, Frederik Olufsen, Zedd, and many others. He also works as a synth engineer providing the sounds behind some of the worlds biggest names including David Guetta. It’s time to get on board with Lucky Date cause his stock is rising at an exponential rate.

Here’s three of his biggest tracks; you can like Lucky Date on Facebook here.

Krewella – Killin It *Dubstep

January 24th, 2012 by | Dubstep |

The trio known as Krewella hails from the great city of Chicago, and have been on a fast track to the big time ever since their release of “One Minute“, their electro infused dubstep banger, that screams “dance your face off”. These guys have the proper blend of pop and dubstep that is becoming extremely popular with mainstream artists and fans around the world; Krewella just might do it better than anybody out there.

This is their most recent release, “Killin It”, and it only proves further that these three are going places. “Killin It” has awesome synths backed up by that popular, Skrillex created, talking drum sound, and awesome vocals; she has the voice of an angel no joke.

This is a seriously good track, and y’all would be fools not to download this one. You can download this track by “Liking” Krewella on Facebook.

David Guetta – Without You (Karbon Copy Remix)

January 21st, 2012 by | House, Remix |

karbon copy

After our post of Dylan Sanders most recent remix, his friends Corin and Kindred wanted to have a go with, and I will have you know, we are glad they did. These young Aussies make up the group known as Karbon Copy, a brand new production crew who want to make a name for themselves.

Karbon Copy have chosen David Guetta‘s “Without You” to make their first mark on the EDM world. The original was pretty good, but comes nowhere near this bangin remix. Karbon Copy’s version has the great buildup to the vocals, but then where Guetta’s version falls short, the drop, Karbon Copy’s erupts with a fire of synth’s that scream house anthem.

Download this track for sure and thank the guys of Karbon Copy by “Liking” them on Facebook.

The Beatles – A Day In The Life (Voodoo Farm Remix)

voodoo farm

Today we have Voodoo Farm‘s most recent remix. The DJ/Filmmaker’s latest project has found him remixing the famous Beatles track, “A Day in the Life”. Voodoo Farm not only creates awesome music but is also in the business of making awesome visuals to go along with his tracks. This remix is no different and is his first journey into the cartoon animation world. The video really compliments the track in every sense.

This remix has a massive bass line, thumping kick drums, and synths that melt your face. Definitely download this track cause it is a flat out dubstep banger.

Knife Party – Internet Friends (Dylan Sanders Re-Blast)

January 12th, 2012 by | Dubstep, Electro, Remix |

Dylan Sanders

By this time everybody has heard the massive track, “Internet Friends”, from none other than Knife Party (if you haven’t you might wanna check yourself). And everybody knows that the Electro infused glitch-step of Knife Party is becoming contagious throughout the EDM world, but today we’re not talking about Knife Party, we’re talking about an Australian DJ/Producer named DYLAN SANDERS. This is the young Aussie’s take on Knife Party’s anthem, and I will say that it will make some noise of it’s own. If you are a fan of Moomah/moombahcore, or whatever you want to call this emerging genre, then you will love this track.

DYLAN SANDERS makes all the right calls in this remix; the moombah beat does not detract anything from the original track, and his added synths and samples make this a serious party track, pure fire in my opinion. If you have the right sound system it will hit you in the teeth, and leave you begging for more!

Download: Knife Party- Internet Friends (Dylan Sanders Re-Blast)

DYLAN SANDERS has worked with big names such as Wolfgang Gartner, Steve Aoki, and Afrojack. He has played at the Future Music Festival for four straight years, and his remix of “Animal Rights” by Deadmau5 and Wolfgang Gartner made it to #3 on the Hype Machine charts. This kid has got some serious talent, watch out for him in 2012 and expect great things. Finally, show the guy some love and “like” him on Facebook and Soundcloud.
