Sander Van Doorn – “Eleve11″ Preview and Bonus Tracks

September 14th, 2011 by | House, Techno, Trance |

I’ve been getting really into Sander Van Doorn recently. Though I have known about him for a little while now, his music has really caught my eye in the last few months with his energetic trance sound. He is coming out with his newest album on the 19th called Eleve11 and I couldn’t be more excited for it. Above is a preview of the album with a track called “Eagles” featuring Adrian Lux.

He has recorded 12 tracks in the past year and the album will only feature 11 of them. That being said, he has graciously decided to give us the 12th track for free. It is simply called “Track 12″ and it’s a good one. Enjoy below!

Enjoyed “Track 12″? If so, you will love another song of his off of Eleve11 that is sure to get you up and dancing. It’s called “Drink to Get Drunk” and is perfect for any party mix. After hearing both of these two track, I cannot wait for his new album to drop. Until Tuesday, enjoy these awesome tracks of his and be sure to rage to them.

James Egbert – Isle of Capri

July 14th, 2011 by | Dance, House, Techno |

 James Egbert Isle of Capri

Shouts to ThisSongIsSick for promoting James Egbert, a sick producer out of Denver. He deserves all the accolades he’s been getting throughout the blogosphere. His latest single “Isle of Capri” is a full-on electronic dance party and this dude has serious skills. He drops eargasmic sounds as he builds the track up to a huge crescendo…and BOOM. The drop is massive. ThisSongIsSick compares Mr. Egbert to Porter Robinson, which I think is a great comparison. There’s some house, whomps, and funky synth beats. He combines all of the subgenres of techno into a great, original style, and absolutely kills the track. There’s also a tropical vibe to the whole song, which is what I imagine I beach party in Ibiza sounds like.

Follow Mr. Egbert on Twitter, and if you’re in Colorado, get to Global Dance Fest this weekend a little early and watch this dude open up the main stage on Friday.

Amtrac – Venice

June 22nd, 2011 by | Dance, Techno |

Amtrac VeniceAmtrac continues to take up more and more of my party playlist with his latest single “Venice.” The track slowly builds before crescendoing 30 seconds into the song, leading immediately into a 3 minute funky dance party.

If you’re in Florida, make sure to catch Amtrac when he’s throwing down at one of the clubs on South Beach. If you’re somewhere else, follow him on Twitter and Facebook, and be sure this song is a part of your party jams.

Britney Spears – Till the World Ends (Bloody Beetroots Remix)

bloody beetroots Britney Spears Till the World Ends (Bloody Beetroots Remix)

Some people describe The Bloody Beetroots as a combination of techno and metal, and sometimes I agree, because they’re music can get too intense for me. While the duo is best known for their work with DJ star Steve Aoki, they recently dropped a hot remix to the new Britney Spears single, “Till the World Ends,” off her upcoming album Femme Fatale. The Beetroots basically stripped out all the vocals and went HAM on the beat. It’s upbeat and ready for a high energy dance party. Add it to your playlist and listen below.

Review: Glowfest at University of Colorado

CU glowfest Savoy Sorry for Partying 400x600 Review: Glowfest at University of Colorado

Pretty much every school has an end of the year music festival to reward their students for a good year of homework, partying, etc, and it’s a great thing when they bring really good music to their students. The University of Colorado did just that when they brought Glowfest to campus this past Friday night. Colorado is huge into electronic music, and it was great to see that the CU Program Council not only catered to their audience, but had enough of a budget to throw such a big show that they were so passionate about. A lot of other schools can learn a thing or two from this group. Glowfest promised to be a big night of electronic music with promising local acts as well as some real big names. THE KNOCKS have been flooding the Internet with a bunch of super hot remixes, and their most recent drop, a remix of the Streets’ song “OMG” is no different. Every track is perfect dance music, and with every song, I’m reminded that THE KNOCKS are one of the most underrated groups in the game.

PORTER ROBINSON – SAY MY NAME (Original Mix)

April 12th, 2011 by | Dance, Techno |

porter robinson PORTER ROBINSON SAY MY NAME (Original Mix)

Porter Robinson is a young kid at only 18 years old, but he’s already making moves most 18 year olds have dreamed of. The dude has toured the country opening for big names like Skrillex, Tiesto, and Afrojack, and is releasing some super hot techno music. His music is a fusion of a lot of the hottest acts in the game, with some of the intensity of Skrillex, while still maintaining super danceable club music. Porter recently released “Say My Name,” which embodies his influences perfectly. It’s a sick dance song with a big build-up and an epic drop that will surely get you dancing, even when you’re not trying to.

Porter Robinson is currently on an epic national tour which you can find more information about on his Facebook. Check him out. It’ll be fun.
