Sander Van Doorn – “Eleve11″ Preview and Bonus Tracks

September 14th, 2011 by | House, Techno, Trance |

I’ve been getting really into Sander Van Doorn recently. Though I have known about him for a little while now, his music has really caught my eye in the last few months with his energetic trance sound. He is coming out with his newest album on the 19th called Eleve11 and I couldn’t be more excited for it. Above is a preview of the album with a track called “Eagles” featuring Adrian Lux.

He has recorded 12 tracks in the past year and the album will only feature 11 of them. That being said, he has graciously decided to give us the 12th track for free. It is simply called “Track 12″ and it’s a good one. Enjoy below!

Enjoyed “Track 12″? If so, you will love another song of his off of Eleve11 that is sure to get you up and dancing. It’s called “Drink to Get Drunk” and is perfect for any party mix. After hearing both of these two track, I cannot wait for his new album to drop. Until Tuesday, enjoy these awesome tracks of his and be sure to rage to them.

Electronic Tuesday with Steve Angello, Afrojack, JUSTICE and much more

Bam! How you like me now?!

Steve Angello and Alex Metric have a song that has been so overlooked. The new video teaser is above and the DL for the full song below. Really exciting stuff, personally. It’s called “Open Your Eyes”.
Open Your Eyes (Original Mix)
And then this Afrojack track was released earlier this week and it’s got his name written all over it: happy synths against a strong bassline, pretty basic in some places and complex in others. Check out “Doing It Right”:
Doing It Right (Original Mix)
Finally, the brand new Justice song! Totally electronic, and absolutely smashing, all about “Civilization”, and it’s pretty damn unique.
Civilization
I love Avicii. Easily my favorite DJ. I wish I could marry him and just hug him forever. He remixed Tiesto‘s “Escape Me” and called it the “Avicii’s Remix at Night”:

And now for your dubstep fix: the Eyes Remix of Katy Perry’s “E.T.”.
E.T. (EYES Remix)
The Flinch Remix of Hussle Club’s “Loose Tights”.

Electronic Tuesdays Start Here

March 15th, 2011 by | Dance, Dubstep, Electronic Tuesday, House, Trance |

50287 163153577057851 4827308 n Electronic Tuesdays Start HereHey guys. I’m Sarah, from ChinUp Music over yonder in the blog-o-sphere. I’ll be giving you your Electronic Tuesdays hype up. A great way to start the week, in my opinion. And don’t worry, I’ll always give you a heads up on before the jump. For this first post, I’m going to introduce you to the classic electronic/house artists out there.

I’m going to do 3 artists per post so as not to overwhelm anyone (or myself). I’m not going to go through the first. original, influential ones from the 80s – house music has come such a long way that they almost don’t fit into house anymore. They were DJs who experimented with a certain style of beats to create a genre that would eventually branch out into Dubstep, Trance, Techno, Electronica, and more. Today, those artists include Deadmau5, Benny Benassi and Paul Oakenfold (King of Trance).

The New Guy’s First Post: Duck Sauce

September 27th, 2010 by | Disco, House, Techno, Trance |

Hello readers,
My name is Adrian, and I will be your guide to electronic music on this blog. You can find out more about me in my bio but I feel I should introduce myself a little at least.

The majority of readers probably don’t care where I grew up or what boring major I have. So instead I have compiled a list of all the major electronic music acts I’ve seen over my years as my credentials, which is probably what you guys care more about anyway.

Boys Noize, Laidback Luke, Erol Alkan, Diplo, Shadow Dancer, D.I.M., LA Riots, Green Velvet, DJ Dan & Donald Glaude, Deadmau5, Moderat, 2manyDJs, The Bloody Beetroots, Danger, DJ Mehdi, A-trak, Kaskade, Pendulum, Groove Armada, ATB, Benny Benassi , Fedde le Grand, Above and Beyond, Rank 1, Armin Van Buuren, Fake Blood, Simian Mobile Disco, Computer Club, Yoji, Crystal Method, Marcus Schultz, Pendulum, Jack Beats, Boy 8-Bit, Carte Blanche, Bingo Players, Dada Life, Bart B More, Congorock, Dirty South, Swedish House Mafia, Z-Trip, Wolfgang Gartner, Afrojack, Basement Jaxx, Armand Van Helden, Moby, Duck Sauce, Harvard Bass, Surkin, Brodinski, SonicC, Chris Lake, 12th Planet, Daedalus, Riva Starr, Treasure Fingers, The Twelves, Breakbot, Proxy, Tiga, Flying Lotus, Digitalism, Soulwax, DJ Sneak, Chromeo, and THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS.

duck sauce The New Guy’s First Post: Duck Sauce

As you can see from this list, I am much more inclined towards house and electro, but I will do my best to introduce my readers to a wide variety of electronic music genres.

Today I will be introducing you to Duck Sauce, a disco-house collaboration between two very skilled producers/DJs, Armand Van Helden and A-trak. This collaboration is relatively new (about a year old), but has absolutely taken the electronic world by storm with their funky beats.

They don’t have many songs because of this, but every release has been pure quality. Enjoy!
