Swedish-born Sebastian “De-Lor” Mikael performs “Gonna Be Real”. The artist formerly known as De-Lor is now known as Sebastian Mikael and what a talent he is. We featured him on our Best You Never Heard 5 mixtape back in December 2011 and since then, he’s been in the studio working on new music.
Watch Sebastian Mikael‘s acoustic performance of “Gonna Be Real” to understand how talented this musician is. (more…)
So my friends and housemates Weapons of Audio collaborated with Jam In The Van and did several acoustic songs. Here’s the first video JITV released in which WOA performs their hit single, “Night Light”, acoustic.
If you don’t know PAZ, it’s time you learn his name and his genre-blending laid back fun music. He recently dropped, “Beautiful Lies”, the first single off Young Broke & Fameless II, set for release early 2012.
If you like Andy Grammer‘s “Keep Your Head Up“, then you will really like this hip-pop song.

Here’s the final installment from Jhameel‘s Waves series. It’s an acoustic song called “Pursuit of Glory” and is a sweet end to a great 5-week series from the rising indie/alternative pop band. Waves by jhameel
I’m sorry Frank Ocean, Sid Sriram is better. After spending an entire afternoon listening to all 41 of his YouTube videos, I am convinced he’s the best vocalist out there right now; not only making originals but covering other artists songs. I fall in love with anything he touches.
Check out the video for “2 AM Prayer” after the jump, and look for the free download in the description.
Hey BananaBeaters new & old, I’m back with a little more news about the upcoming VIBE album. With school in the morning, my summer has literally ended. Stress is building up, I miss summer already, and this song couldn’t come at a more perfect time.
VIBE recently recorded a new live video of their new song “Take a Little Time” and I’m here to get it to you. Relax, enjoy and watch the video after the jump. (more…)
Listen up kids, my name is TheMisterMistress. This is the first post from yours truly, and this is too fitting. If you spent any time on a trampoline, drank a kool-aid, or gave a punch for passing a VW bug this summer, this is right for you.
Acoustic duo VIBE, consisting of Chris Young the Rapper & Rossy, bring a tease of their new album. This one is called “Still a Kid (at Heart)” and the words are true. Turn up your drink to this and live life like you did when you were 12. Read more to see the music video! (more…)
ROSSY jumped onto the scene last summer when he collaborated with Chris Young The Rapper on “Move Slow” last Summer. Then in June, they collaborated again on “Twist Another One Up“, a catchy Summer anthem. In July, Rossy released The Crush (DOWNLOAD), a dope 4-track hip-pop project that is a must-download.
ROSSY reminds me recently of Dave Patton as he’s got catchy summer fun vocals, chill acoustic instrumentals and potential for mainstream success. Anyways, here’s the 4-track project, The Crush. My favorites are “Move Slow” and “Everybody Wants To Hook Up”, both featuring Chris Young.
Windoview is not a typical artist we feature on here. An acoustic trio of 17 year olds from the suburbs of Philadelphia. Perfect for summer time, warm nights, bonfires, and beach fun. These guys definitely lock in on that Jack Johnson, Jason Mraz and Eric Hutchinson vibe, yet perform with their own style and originality.
Guitars, harmonicas and ukuleles? Yessir, Windoview is definitely a musical breath of fresh air. I find it hard to explain why I like them but something about the vocals and acoustic instrumentals interests me in Windoview.
We don’t post a lot of pop songs on here because generally I don’t like how cheesy they can be (example above from Jessie J’s acoustic “Price Tag” video). However these songs should all be on the radio, are really catchy and I love how upbeat they are. Once again I’m reaching back to 2010 with a couple of these tracks but I guarentee there’s a couple you haven’t heard.
First is the Jessie J ft. B.o.B “Price Tag” version you probably have heard on the radio. Jessie J is very talented (as evidenced by her strong vocals above) and a must watch artist. I’m sure she’s going to be headlining a world tour within a couple years at most but before superstar B.o.B. who jumped on this track to turn it into gold.
Next comes a track which came out in fall 2010 by Aaron LaFette. “Wrapped Around My Finger” is a really catchy club hit, sounds like Bruno Mars could do this and it would be on the radio. Not knocking Aaron LaFette, but if the Cleveland artist were more popular this would be a more mainstream song. Let’s hope that changes.
Next is a much more mainstream song from Bob Sinclar ft. Ben Onono called “Rainbow of Love”. Such an uplifting positive song about rainbows and nice looking things in the sky. Whatever, don’t really care about the lyrics in this, just like how upbeat the instrumentals and synthed up vocals are.
Lastly I want to introduce you to Ray Ray who hit me up with “Higher”. Ray Ray has the potential to be mainstream pop radio hit who reminds me of older Chris Brown with less hip-hop. If Jason DeRulo can get on the radio, then so should Ray Ray.
