Aylen – New Remixes of Rusko and Afrojack

January 26th, 2012 by | Electro, Remix |

Andrew Lin or, Aylen has been featured on the site multiple times, and every time, he has done nothing but kill his tracks. This kid can remix anything and everything, and they all flat out bang. Aylen will have a huge 2012 due to his funky electro style and his awesome ability to remix huge tracks no matter what genre they are in.

The first track, Aylen’s remix of Afrojack and Shermanology‘s “Can’t Stop Me” is straight fire. Where Afrojack inserts Dirty Dutch madness, Aylen switches that for flat out funky electro. Give this a listen and a DOWNLOAD and enjoy the hell out of it, cause it’s a party starter.

The next track is Aylen’s take on a brand new Rusko track. And instead of change it’s style completely, he ventures into the Moombah category and succeeds above and beyond. This is a great track from Aylen, I picture this being played in the middle of a set in an effort to switch up styles a little bit, cause as we all know Moombah will get the people goin. Give this a listen and download, and turn it up.

NERVO – “We’re All No One” (featuring Steve Aoki & Afrojack) (Original Mix)

September 7th, 2011 by | Dance, Pop |

NERVO, you may not know much about them now, but you soon will. The duo, two Australian twins named Miriam and Olivia can do it all. They are music producers, song writers and even models. However, on this track produced by Steve Aoki and Afrojack, they take their chances at singing and absolutely knock it out of the park. This will soon be a radio hit and these two girls have a bright future ahead of them. Enjoy!

Festival Review: Lollapalooza 2011 (Friday, August 5th)

August 9th, 2011 by | Concert/Festival Review, Dance, House, Reviews, Rock |

World famous music festival, Lollapalooza celebrated it’s 20th anniversary in Chicago’s Grant Park and with style. It was my first one ever and I will definitely be returning again next year. With 125+ acts performing in the span of three full days, it was impossible see them all.  However, the amount of awesome DJ’s, rappers, bands, I saw was quite a legendary experience which I will never forget.

Day 1: (Skrillix, Afrojack, Ratatat, & Coldplay)

On Friday, my flight from Los Angeles to Chicago was delayed about an hour. I didn’t get into town until 3:30 PM. By the time I dropped my stuff off at my buddies apartment and arrived at Grant Park, it was already 6:40 in the evening. That being said, I only saw four acts. However, they happened to be Skrillix, Afrojack, Ratatat, and Coldplay.

I would have loved to have seen acts like Foster The People, Young the Giant, Girl Talk, and Muse on Friday as well, but you can’t see them all.

Skrillix and Afrojack played at the famous “Perry’s” stage at Lolla which is heavily influenced by electronic/house music. When Skrillix played “Kill Everybody”, the crowd went nuts. The same went for Afrojack’s “Pop On Acid” which you know was raging. That being said, I felt it was appropriate to include these in this post.

Right after Afrojack, I made my way over to the Google+ stage to see Ratatat rock out. I only saw three songs of theirs because Coldplay was performing at the exact same time and I wanted to see them live as well. I cut my last hour on Friday between both acts and they were incredible. I have always been a big fan of Ratatat, but after seeing them live, especially when they played “Loud Pipes”, I discovered a whole new love for the duo.

When I went to the Budlight stage to see Coldplay, I was amazed at their stage presence and ability to flow smoothly between tracks. “Clocks” which was one of their first big hits and one of my personal favorite tracks of theres was performed near the end of their gig. What a way to complete the first day of Lolla.

David Guetta & Afrojack – Pandemonium (ft. Carmen)

June 28th, 2011 by | Dance, Electronic Tuesday, House |

Carmen on vocals which is solid but the production from Afrojack & David Guetta is top-notch and really turns this into a house banger!

Afrojack – Pop On Acid *BANGER!

May 21st, 2011 by | Dance, House |

I think this kind of shows that Afrojack should be one of the next DJ’s to compose music for a project like a movie or a video game soundtrack. I have never used acid and probably won’t ever use the drug, but this song “Pop On Acid” is a BANGER! MUST DOWNLOAD!

Electronic Tuesday with Steve Angello, Afrojack, JUSTICE and much more

April 5th, 2011 by | Dance, Dubstep, Electro, Electronic Tuesday, House, Remix, Trance |
Bam! How you like me now?!

Steve Angello and Alex Metric have a song that has been so overlooked. The new video teaser is above and the DL for the full song below. Really exciting stuff, personally. It’s called “Open Your Eyes”.
Open Your Eyes (Original Mix)
And then this Afrojack track was released earlier this week and it’s got his name written all over it: happy synths against a strong bassline, pretty basic in some places and complex in others. Check out “Doing It Right”:

Finally, the brand new Justice song! Totally electronic, and absolutely smashing, all about “Civilization”, and it’s pretty damn unique.
I love Avicii. Easily my favorite DJ. I wish I could marry him and just hug him forever. He remixed Tiesto‘s “Escape Me” and called it the “Avicii’s Remix at Night”:

And now for your dubstep fix: the Eyes Remix of Katy Perry’s “E.T.”.
E.T. (EYES Remix)
The Flinch Remix of Hussle Club’s “Loose Tights”.
