Audible Mainframe – The VICtory Sessions Vol. 1 *Help EXPO fight cancer!

February 10th, 2012 by | Alternative/Indie, Hip-Hop/Rap, Rock |

The VICtory Sessions Vol. 1 is a project dedicated to the front-man/MC of Audible Mainframe, Expo (aka Victor Pontes-Macedo), currently battling cancer. This hip-hop band is one of my favorites and I consider them the 2nd coming of The Roots, which means if you appreciate real hip-hop, you will appreciate what Audible Mainframe is doing.

Audible Mainframe – Ready to Fly X Re-Framed (mashup album)

May 9th, 2011 by | Hip-Hop/Rap, Mashup, Mashup Monday |

Audible Mainframe released their latest single, “Ready To Fly” which is a chill hip-hop jam that’s hard NOT to like. Seriously I don’t understand how more people are not fans of Audible Mainframe after hearing this song.

To hold fans over, Audible Mainframe also released Re-Framed – The Remix Album, a collection of their original songs but remixed and mashed up with many other songs. This project was done by their DJ, Special Blend, who does a great job mixing dope songs from the past with songs off of Audible Mainframe’s 2009 project, Transients. Here’s 4 of my favorites.

Hidden Gem: Audible Mainframe

November 30th, 2010 by | Hidden Gem, Hip-Hop/Rap |

Audible Mainframe is one of those genre-blending hip-hop with instrument’s band. I really like their relaxed style reminding me of some of my other favorite up-and-coming genre blending acts.

The difference between Audible Mainframe and some of my other favorites that mix the hip-hop with the instruments for a hip-hop band style is Audible Mainframe has produced some albums and also the horns are sexy.

Here’s a couple of my favorites.
