New remix by Lupe Fiasco. This time he sample’s Bassnectar’s remix of Ellie Goulding’s “Lights” and absolutely kills it. The beat is already amazing as it is by itself, but Lupe always does an amazing job at rapping. This is the first leak off his upcoming mixtape Friend Of The People which is scheduled to drop on Thanksgiving day. Enjoy!

Nero released this in August, I like that he’s stepped a little away from some of the more hardcore dubstep as this is a catchy song you can dance to without looking weird.
Now for some weird downtempo dubstep/electronic from up-and-coming DJs Bassnectar and ill.Gates. However it’s pretty good, definitely more a song for chilling out than partying to. Bassnectar & ill.Gates – Probable Cause (DOWNLOAD)
If you at least tolerate dubstep, Bassnectar is one of those DJ’s that you will like if you listen to electronic music. Today he dropped “Upside Down”, which has this hip-hop/electronic beat with some dope dubstep. This is a must-download party banger!
I’m not one that’s in love with electronic music although I like how it’s becoming a bigger influence to the mainstream music that’s been coming out today. Bassnectar is one of those DJ’s I like because of his upbeat catchy dubstep. First, we got “The 808 Track” featuring Mighty High Coup which has this bumpin’ hip-hop sound over this intense highly enjoyable beat. Boom clap! Bassnectar – The 808 Track Ft. Mighty High Coup
“Hooray” is pretty much the first word that comes out of my mouth when I get an email from Hoodie Allen with a new track. Here’s what Hoodie has to say about “NY is Killing Me” (download):
Today, I am proud to present you with the second leak off of my upcoming mixtape Leap Year. “NY is Killing Me” tells the story of the love-hate relationship I have with the city that raised me and the creatures that make it so hard to be there and even tougher to leave.
“NY is Killing Me” is a remix of the Jamie XX re-working of the Gil Scott-Heron song of the same name. I hope you enjoy my added perspective to an already killer track and look forward to more music in the coming month.
This isn’t my favorite Hoodie Allen track and doesn’t come close to my top 5 Hoodie Allen tracks. Even though, Hoodie’s vocals aren’t appealing and the beat tastes like week-old pizza, the rapping is dope as always with some interesting lyrics. I respect that Hoodie continues to utilize alternative/indie tracks in putting together dope rap songs.
If you were disappointed by “NY is Killing Me”, here’s the first leak off Hoodie’s upcoming mixtape, Leap Year. Also here’s mashup featuring Hoodie Allen vs Bassnectar vs The Pixies. The track is called “Space Boy” and Hoodie’s rapping over a mix of Bassnectar & The Pixies instrumentals is cool. The last 10 seconds are dope with Hoodie accapella. Space Boy (Hoodie Allen vs. Bassnectar vs. The Pixies)
This is another Bassnectar remix made way back in 2003. However, I just discovered it today and it is quite a soft dubstep feel to it. This track remixes The Bangles’ “Walk Like An Egyptian”, keeping in much of the original sounds while mixing in some of Bassnectar’s usual fire. Enjoy!
