Introducing Dj OnLii1 *House music bootlegs/mixes

October 21st, 2011 by | Daily Mix, Electro, House, Remix |

So our Director of Business Development, MikeRips, told us about Dj OnLii1 through a buddy of his that works with the Brooklyn house music DJ. He has mostly banging continuous mixes but lately has been putting out a bunch of bootlegs. Bootlegs are basically a few songs re-mixed into one, almost like a mashup but less fluid and more for raging to.

Here’s our three latest favorites from Dj OnLii1.
Epic Insomnia (DJ Onlii1 Gets No Sleep Mashup)- Sandro Silva & Quintino, Faithless & Starkillers by DJ OnLii1

Bounce Chinook! (Onlii1 Mash up) by DJ OnLii1

Someone like you Sunshine! (DJ OnLii1 Bootleg) FULL by DJ OnLii1

Below is a 1-hour continuous party mix to get you raging for the awesome weekend ahead. (more…)

As we drove down the 5 freeway headed to the Pacific Festival, the excitement level was rising like a hot kettle on the stove. With a loaded lineup headlined by Snoop Dogg & Cut Copy and artists such as Calvin Harris, Phantogram, Ghostland Observatory, Steve Aoki, Fred Falke, Bag Raiders, The C90’s, !!! (Chk, Chk, Chk) on the schedule, there was no better place to be on August 13th, 2011 than Oak Canyon Ranch in Orange County, California. Having VIP Backstage access was sure to make it epic. What follows is just that. E.P.I.C.

Dubstep Remix *Calvin Harris, Skrillex, Mike Posner, Darude, Maka & Waeck

July 19th, 2011 by | Dubstep, Remix |

Listed in the blog title are the artists being remixed in dubstep. Honestly I’m always on the fence with dubstep and dubstep remixes as it’s the kind of music genre that you can only take so much of. Have you ever met somebody whose favorite music is dubstep? Neither have I, which proves my point. Anyways, here’s five dubstep remixes.

Calvin Harris – Feel So Close (Nero Remix)

Maka & Waeck ft. Farisha – Breathe (Vexare Remix)

Skrillex – Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites (The Juggernaut Remix)

Darude – Sandstorm (Vaski Remix)

Mike Posner – Please Don’t Go (Butch Clancy Remix)

BtB presents: unofficial Pacific Festival 2011 mixtape

July 17th, 2011 by | Before Bigs Exclusive |

So were less than one month away to the first-ever Orange County Pacific Festival on August 13, 2011. I’m super excited for this festival as it features many underrated acts and I really respect the fact that the organizers of this festival were able to bring in so many quality acts in their first year of this festival. Here’s a cool Pacific Festival trailer to watch that has more info on the event.

Some of the notable acts performing include Snoop Dogg, Cut Copy, Steve Aoki, Calvin Harris, Ghostland Observatory, Phantogram, toro y moi, Bag Raiders, and many more! Buy tickets here.

I am so excited for the Pacific Festival that I decided to make a 25-track mixtape with my favorite songs from many of the artists performing on August 13, 2011 in Orange County, California.

Hidden Gem: Laws *Your Future Favorite Rapper

June 12th, 2011 by | Hidden Gem, Hip-Hop/Rap |

All you need to know about him is he’s “your future favorite rapper”. Behind the quality production from his last mixtape, 4:57 (DOWNLOAD), which he released in February, Laws recently released, Yesterday’s Future (DOWNLOAD), which is a collection of songs that samples legend Paul McCartney.

4:57 mixtape was produced mostly by J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League but also has a song produced by Calvin Harris (featured below). Both mixtapes are quality productions and below I have featured about five of my favorite Laws songs.
Laws & Paul McCartney – Knocking at the Door
Laws & Paul McCartney – Not Coming Down (Mr. Bellamy pt. 1)
Laws – Colors (I Don’t Care) Ft. Calvin Harris (Prod. by Calvin Harris)
Laws – Flashback (Prod. by J.U.S.T.I.C.E. LEAGUE)
Laws – My Chick ft. Dion Primo (Prod. by Benjamin Plant)

Calvin Harris – Bounce ft Kelis *MUST DOWNLOAD

June 9th, 2011 by | Dance, Music Video |

Bounce! Amazing beat from Calvin Harris, vocals are solid and don’t overwhelm or take away from the amazing production, overall a great track to rage/dance/whatever the fuck you want to do when listening to bangers like this.

Bonus: If you heard the above song, here’s a club remix that’s bangin’!

And if you have heard both songs already here’s an older track with Kelis and Andre 3000, love the beat and teh vocals on this.

Official music video to “Bounce” after the jump. Party to this! (more…)
