Childish Gambino – “We Ain’t Them”

May 16th, 2012 by | Hip-Hop/Rap |

My favorite rapper in the game right now, Childish Gambino just released yet another fire track called “We Ain’t Them”. It has a simple beat but if you pay close enough attention to the lyrics, you will respect him way more. This track is pretty much for all the haters of his out there telling them that he does not care what they think and he is doing his own thing with lots of success. Enjoy!

WOW. I can honestly say I have dreamed of this, but did not think it would ever happen. Turquoise Jeep actually goes in on this, and as expected Childish Gambino kills his verse.

Childish Gambino – “Eat Your Vegetables” *Samples Donkey Kong Country Song

April 5th, 2012 by | Hip-Hop/Rap |

Earlier this week, Childish Gambino dropped another fire track. This time it’s “East Your Vegetables” and he once again kills it! This guy knows hows to spit rhymes like nobodies business. Plus I love the sample from a song on the classic Super Nintendo game Donkey Kong Country. I cannot wait to see him live for the first time ever at Coachella next weekend. What could be better?

Album Review: Childish Gambino – “Camp”

November 12th, 2011 by | Album/Mixtape/EP Review, Hip-Hop/Rap |

The much anticipated debut album, Camp, by Childish Gambino officially releases this Tuesday. However, it has already leaked online and when I finally got a chance to listen to it, I was extremely impressed. Not only are the instrumentals amazing, but Gambino’s rapping is spectacular. If you actually listen to his lyrics, you not only hear how talented he is but the words he uses to tell his story make you truly connect with his music. Check some of my favorite tracks by him below. I am sure they will get you excited for Tuesday to roll around.

“You See Me”

Be sure to purchase the entire album on Tuesday when it officially releases.
