A few new dates added to the Pledge to Rage Tour  and with that, so is a new track by The Dean’s List called “Kryptonite Sanity Room” (K.S.R.). Mik Beats and DJ Mendoza once again put together an awesome beat especially with the piano mixed in with all sorts of greatness. Not to mention, Sonny Shotz kills it as usual with his rapping.

For anyone who has been following us, we have been supporting this group from the beginning and they continue to get better with each new track that drops. Their future is super bright and their hard work and dedication is starting to pay off. I cannot wait to seem them perform this track among other great ones of theirs when they come to L.A. on November 3rd. Enjoy!

The Dean’s List is still on their grind, releasing yet another new track this morning called “Fuck It I’m Young”. Once again this group shows how versatile they truly are by adding in a different style than most of their other tracks. Sonny Shotz does an amazing job at rapping as usual and DJ Mendoza and Mic Beats provide great instrumentals ultimately creating an amazing new track.

This group is blowing up and I hope they come out to the west coast soon so I can see them perform live again. Ya’ll are going to want to jump on this groups bandwagon as they will be huge by early next year. Enjoy!

Back on January 3rd, I met up with DJ Mendoza and Sonny Shotz of The Dean’s List to talk about their upcoming mixtape, The Drive-in which is set to release later this month. Unfortunately, Mik Beats could not make it to the interview. However, I got a sneak preview of their entire mixtape and I can promise you that they have really taken their music to the next level. The bar is set much higher for any other hip-hop groups looking to break into the music industry.

Since I interviewed them, they have released a handful of tracks and music videos from the mixtape and each song they leak is better than the previous one. I really look forward to the release of The Drive-in and if you don’t know about The Dean’s List now, you certainly will after the mixtape drops. Another new music video by The Dean’s List has swept the cyber work yet again. This time it’s “K2YL” (Kush 2 Your Lighters) off their upcoming mixtape The Drive-in. It has a more laid back feel (hence the name) and the visuals are really sick as well. This group is definitely on the rise, it will become more apparent after The Drive-in releases. “La Vie”, the name of The Dean’s List newest track just dropped earlier today which will get you on your feet! It is off their upcoming mixtape, The Drive-in, which will release next month and has great electronic instrumentals mixed by DJ Mendoza with Sonny Shots killing it on the flow of the lyricism as he always does.

I got a chance to hang out with them last week and they gave me a sneak preview of all the tracks on The Drive-in and I can for sure tell you all that they are growing out of the college rap stage and taking their talents to the next level.
