2 Chainz drops his first track entitled “No Lie” featuring Drake off his upcoming album Based on a T.R.U. Story. They both killed the track, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Enjoy.
Watch my Official Audio Video for the masterpiece below. (more…)
We totally forgot to blog about this R&B/dubstep song when it came out back in early June. Then within a couple weeks, Drake raps on the SBTRKT track, “Wildfire” which features vocals from the lead singer of indie band Little Dragon.
Recently alternative hip-hop/R&B group Shabazz Palaces decided to do a remix with Drumma Boy on the song, changing up the instrumentals a bit and adding their own vocals to some parts of it.

Part 2 Summer Party Playlist coming next Thursday at 7pm PST.
Because it’s Cinco de Mayo aka Drinko de Mayo for the kids who are going to rage tonight, here’s five remixes that you can bump when your partying.
First comes a remix from MADEON on The Killers “Smile Like You Mean It”. I used to be a big fan of The Killers then lead singer Brandon Flowers decided to go solo, and The Killers got kind of crappy. However MADEON does a banging remix to one of the best Killers songs.
Here’s an electro/hip-hop type remix. The original is from Joker and then The Rap Pack decided to remix it with some hip-hop. I love the beat, the rapping only adds to the dope quality, overall real interesting catchy remix. Joker – Do It (The Rap Pack Remix)
Next is my favorite song of 2009, Usher‘s “Love In This Club” remixed by MSTRKRFT. I love how much more complex the instrumentals become with MSTRKRFT’s additions to the song, really making it a little more special. Must Download! Usher – Love In This Club (MSTRKRFT Remix) DJ Kue is at it again with his dance remix to “Moment 4 Life”. I like DJ Kue because he’s really good at making songs you can just hear all over dance clubs… I guess he makes straight bangers!
Teddybears stepped in and decided to remix one of the greatest disco songs from the Bee Gees. I think they did a great job making this new beat to the song and making it more contemporary. However, I will always enjoy the original more, even though this is real catchy. Bee Gees – Stayin’ Alive (Teddybears Remix)
“Find Your Love” is first leak off of Vonnegutt‘s $Free.99 mixtape (which drops on 5/23). On the record they are taking the typical mixtape approach of going over other beats, however doing it a bit differently. Remaking them with the live band and then inviting friends to sing/guest rap on each track. I have heard the mixtape is a mix of punk and hip-hop.
The first leak is a revamped version of Drake’s “Find Your Love”. Vonnegutt killing it on the instrumentals with MC Kyle Lucas and Outasight rapping, and vocal standout Will from Cartel on the chorus. Bah dot bah bah bah… I’m Loving it.
With a handful of tracks from XV’s newest albumZero Heroes, leaking in the past month or so, we present you with the album in it’s entirety which officially dropped today. Vizzy is once again sensational in this album, setting him aside from many of the other hip-hop up-and-comers in the game right now. In this album, he shows many influences similar to Drake and Lupe Fiasco. The Wichita, Kansas native continues to impress with his work and he is only getting better. Each track provides it’s own uniqueness which you will not be disappointed with. XV has put Kansas on the map and thats just the beginning. This guy is way better than Wiz Khalifa in my opinion and soon the mainstream radio stations, MTV, and everyone will know who he is. He is quickly becoming a household name which you should not be sleeping on whatsoever. Check out some of my favorite tracks fromZero Heroes and definitely download the entire album. Enjoy!
I know I posted the above video already but it’s such an epic song and the video can be described in the same light plus it recently got deemed unsafe for people with epilepsy which I’m not surprised by. It happened to a video by Gnarls Barkley.
Anyways after watching the video, I got a few “All of the Lights” songs for you including one with Lil Wayne, Big Sean and Drake rapping to the beat, then Play N Skillz create a slowed up electronic pop hop cover/remix.
However I saved the best for last with a rocking cover of “All Of The Lights” that I absolutely love. Folk/Soul/Pop band Delta Rae captures the power of the original but takes it into a more acoustic rock direction. Follow Delta Rae on facebook and twitter if you like the cover below. I think Kanye would give a standing ovation to this song.
For this week’s mashup monday I decided to dedicate it to three emerging mashup DJ’s: The Friendly Giant, John Marr, and Party Ben. I have 2 songs I like a lot from each artist below to listen and download.
