Sex Ray Vision has always been and will always be, with a singular purpose: to make your body move.
Got the above line off Sex Ray Vision‘s facebook, which I guarantee will have over 10,000 maybe even 20,000 likes by the end of the year. I love when you discover an artist and immediately you are a huge fan; that’s how I feel with Sex Ray Vision, this Stanford, California duo is that talented with their electro/house bangers.
Sex Ray Vision, which includes DJ/producer Ravi Parikh and singer/songwriter Brian Yoo, started making mashups about five months ago, then put out remixes about four months ago and recently (within the last month) have started releasing originals. You can find all their music on soundcloud but to save you some time, here’s my five recent favorites from this up-and-coming duo.

This song is so sick! Electronic music is growing on me so quick because I’m learning that it is one of the most complex music genres with just making one good beat being something tough and then having to build off that. However the opportunities of sound are limitless in electronic music, which is a big reason why the rest of the entertainment industry realizes electronic music is essential beyond just dance clubs and music shows, but in films (see Tron Legacy), video games and much more.
Avicii is another example of a rising electronic artist who is making waves in the music industry. “Levels” is a bonified 5-star!

I discovered Bag Raiders near the end of 2010, got some time to do some research on them and found they are pretty popular around the world. This Aussie electro/house duo has over 13,000 fans on facebook, has released several EP’s and released their self-titled debut album in October 2010.
Below are a few of my favorite songs from Bag Raiders including a remix which they have become known for. Although they have an electro/house style, there is vocals, which I always love in electronica music and their music has a nice upbeat dance feel to it.

Boston alternative electronic hip-hop band Split Second is back with a special music saga, Skub Til Taget, which is Danish for Push The Roof. Here’s what Jared from Split Second said:
Each Wednesday for the next five weeks we will be releasing one song from the saga. “Illmerica” is the Episode Two of the saga, with Innocence (which we dropped awhile ago) being Episode One.The songs will consist of house/dubstep remixes. Meanwhile we’ll be working on the next full mixtape, which will have songs such as Blood Diamond on it, of original sounds which will be out shortly. We’re have a lot of new material so hope people are ready for it.

Wolfgang Gartner is the beat that is used in “Illmerica” that Split Second has done a swell job rapping over and mixing up a bit. Can’t wait for the next song in their saga.
