Here’s the latest from Reef (of Fortune Family) and newcomer to BtB Dylan Owen with “Dreams”. Grace Kelly is on the vocals, which are delightful and the rapping is superb for a dope track that has already gotten over 25,000 views in less than a week!
Also I’m loving the production, which is by August Coupe and it’s filmed by none other, Jon Kilmer, who pretty much directs all the top Northeastern US up-and-coming artists music videos.

It’s been a little while since we last heard from Fortune Family, but they are back and with an awesome new track called “Living Dead”. The duo out of NYU provide a very chill, laid back feel with some old school hip-hop flavor. The verses are solid on a catchy beat. Enjoy!

It’s is finally completed in its entirety. The Paradox EP by Fortune Family has arrived. The New York University hip-hop duo does not disappoint in this one and their versatile sound really shows their true talent. They have a bit of a laid back feel with great rapping over to create straight fire. My favorite songs on Paradox are “Take Me Away”, “Hasta La Vista” (featuring OnCue) and “Ahora”. Enjoy!

Two rising artists collaborating to create something special. This is Fortune Family’s second single for their upcoming Paradox EP, dropping February 1st.
“Hasta La Vista” features alternative hip-hop MC OnCue and samples Sufjan Stevens “Come On! Feel The Illinoise!” and Jay-Z’ “Public Service Announcement” to make for a chill hip-hop jam.
Bonus: OnCue dropped an snippet of his next track, “That Feelin’”. It’s only a minute long but it’s dope and I can’t wait to here the full track.

The mix is 25 songs released this summer (May-August), by artists who haven’t released a debut album yet. The only exception is “All Summer” by Kid Cudi, Best Coast and Vampire Weekend because that’s one of the best songs released this summer.
