Hendersin drops his remix to Frank Ocean‘s “We All Try”. The remix is so dope! Expect big things from Hendersin in the near future, he is currently working on his highly anticipated mixtape entitled Henny In Ya System.
Check out his remix to “We All Try” and my recent Q&A with Hendersin below (more…)
Hendersin just released the official music video to his single, “Keep Ya Head Up” off his latest mixtape, I F.L.Y. (DOWNLOAD). I think the mixtape is a must-download that you need to listen to as Hendersin is a must-watch hip-hop artist. However, I think he chose the wrong song to release a music video for as it’s just sampled material from another song and he should have chosen one of the originals off the mixtape.
Hendersin is back with his fourth mixtape entitled I F.LY. By far his best work to date, the multi-talented Hendersin raps over a wide variety of beats including songs like “Hello”, “Keep Ya Head Up” and “Sometimes,” which are definite party hits, as well as others like “Back Home”, “In Love” and “Blue Sky (Freestyle)” which give you an inside look at the mind of the young rapper. With eleven self-produced tracks and all-star guest appearances from Kinetics (of Kinetics And One Love) and Collin Mcloughlin, I F.L.Y. is a must download!
My favorites off the mixtape include “You Know The Way” ft. Missy Modell, “What You Looking At?”, “Sometimes” an “All Eyes On Me”.
Music video to “Keep Ya Head Up” and “What Are You Looking At” (one of my favorites), after the jump. (more…)
New Hendersin. Pretty solid chill hip-hop track with a smooth hook.
Wherever I Go – Hendersin
Below is five songs from up-and-coming artists that have used a non-hip-hop sample to form something new, fresh and different from the original they sampled.
First we start off with the latest song, “Gimme The Beat” by Josh Bonney. I didn’t expect much out of the song until I heard the first 10 seconds and I knew this was going to be a chill hip-hop song that actually samples classic rock, real cool. Follow Josh Bonney on: facebook / twitter
Josh Bonney – Gimme The Beat (Feat. Benjy Johnson)
Next we got JAMS, which is a tough artist name to find info on but I finally did. “Puppy Chow” samples “Crave You” from Flight Facilities, a song that has been sampled by Hoodie Allen, G-Eazy and many others but JAMS song sounds different with less of a remix on the original and more showing his talent for rhyming. Follow JAMS on: facebook / twitter
JAMS – Puppy Chow
The most accomplished artist in this post is DMV-area MC Phil Ade. To remind you, DMV means they are from the Washington DC, Maryland or Virginia area. In “Second Chance” Phil Ade goes over producer Mark Henry’s flip of Peter Bjorn and John‘s “Second Chance”. I love the indie rock sample and Phil Ade kills it on the rhyme. Follow Phil Ade on: facebook / twitter
Phil Ade – Second Chance
90′s Finest latest sample gets a big feature from emerging MC Hendersin. Getting Hendersin on the track improves the rhyming, the electro-pop sample turns the song into an electro/hip-hop track which has a nice upbeat sound. Follow 90′s Finest on facebook / twitter
90′s Finest – I Press Triggers Ft. Hendersin
Lastly we end with the most chill yet unusual sample in this post. Luke Christopher samples a melody used in parts of one of my favorite 2011 films, The Social Network and really makes something special. “The Social Network” just stands out as a track. Follow Luke Christopher on: facebook / twitter

Boston rapper Hendersin has just dropped his newest mixtape, Detour, and its a good one. This up-and-coming rapper from Boston has really stepped it up with this one. My favorite tracks are “Watch Me Now” (featuring Collin McLoughlin), “The Way You Are”, and “Sincerely, Yours”. Enjoy these songs and the entire mixtape.
Download: Detour (mixtape)
Hendersin is a must watch hip-hop artist in 2011. In the video above, a bunch of music industry dynamites are giving Hendersin shout outs. His mixtape, Detour, drops tomorrow January 30 and after watching the video above, I’m convinced that it’s “certified FIRE” according to my homeboy Chris of MicControl.com.
Here’s a few songs that are going to be on the upcoming mixtape.
Hendersin – Livin My Life ft. Serge Didenko (original featured on BYNH II)
Hendersin – Against All Odds
Hendersin – Watch Me Now ft. Collin McLoughlin
Follow Hendersin on facebook and twitter and come back here tomorrow for the full Detour mixtape.
It’s that time of the year where we would like to give back. Sometimes I feel we don’t give back to our readers enough and we are working to fix that in 2011. Until then, here’s a mixtape we created.
It’s called Best You Never Heard II, which is a mixtape showcasing some of the best up-and-coming talent in music from the last several months. It’s a collection of 20 songs of mostly hip-hop with a little bit of rock, pop, R&B and mashups/remixes (much like our site’s content).
Listen to the mixtape below, and download through mediafire.

Let us know of your favorite song(s) and if you like the songs on this mixtape, check out our Summer mix of the Best You Never Heard.
Shouts to Fab4 Music for getting the exclusive on “Sincerely, Yours” by Boston rapper Hendersin. It’s a solid hip-hop track with a good beat, catchy hook, and solid lyriciscm from Hendersin.
Bonus: Hendersin rapped over Bruno Mars “The Way You Are”. The instrumentals are dope, so I don’t blame Hendersin for rapping over this track and putting some hip-hop in it.
Hendersin’s upcoming mixtape, Detour, drops on January 26, should be a dope release.
