Western MA emcee Reese McFly is truly a jack of all trades, this dude has some deep lyrics backed up with a smooth, on point flow. Reese recently released his first official album “Boy Meets World”. This album takes samples from the commonly loved 90’s television series “Boy Meets World”. From first hand experience I can say that Reese McFly can really keep a crowd going and is overall and magnificent performer and all around musician.

Reese is all about the fans, he loves the people who support his music and have assisted him on his journey to rise to the top.  Reese McFly has the potential and the motivation to make it somewhere in the world of Hip-hop. Mike Posner – “The Layover” (Mixtape)

November 20th, 2011 by | Album/Mixtape/EP Review, Hip-Hop/Rap, Pop |

It’s finally here! After hearing many leaks off of it and with much anticipation, the entire mixtape The Layover by Mike Posner has officially dropped. This is a great project which really helps bring Posner back into relevance. He has upped the production level and has even included some amazing features such as Bun B, Twista, Casey Veggies, Machine Gun Kelly, RJD2 and many more.

This is something that his debut album 31 Minutes To Take Off  lacked and for that it suffered a little bit. Now that he has included awesome rappers and amazing production work, there is no question his popularity will continue to rise at a higher level then it is already at. Enjoy my favorite songs from the mixtape below!

The Dean’s List – “Unbelievers”

November 20th, 2011 by | Hip-Hop/Rap |

After completing a very successful nationwide tour, The Dean’s List continue on their grind release yet another new track. This time they give us “Unbelievers” which is truly very enjoyable to listen to. I’ve been following these guys for over a year and a half now. I said it then and I’ll say it again, this group is the real deal. They are very talented and only getting better. After seeing them live for the second time a couple weeks back, I knew that this group is going to do big things. Enjoy!

STS – Cliche (Prod by the Knux)

July 30th, 2011 by | Hip-Hop/Rap |

Underground and hidden gem rapper STS just dropped the first single, “Cliche” off his upcoming album album titled The Illustrious. I’m always impressed with STS’s flow and his seriously unique flow over pretty industry standard beats. The beat, produced by The Knux, is chilled out and sparse, but STS goes HAM and absolutely kills it.

STS has been in the game awhile, yet he remains out of the spotlight. Follow the dude on Twitter and Facebook and keep an eye out for The Illustrious.

Radical Something – Long Hair, Don’t Care

July 13th, 2011 by | Alternative/Indie, Chill/Jam/Reggae, Hip-Hop/Rap, Remix |

Radical Something, AKA the duo of rapper Loggy and silky smooth singer Josh Cocktail just dropped their latest single, the summertime anthem “Long Hair, Don’t Care.” This track has a more rock feel, but the dudes kill it with the track that’s perfect for an outdoor summertime party on the beach…or something.

Just imagine Josh Cocktail riding in the car with the windows down and his glorious mane blowing in the wind. Delightful. Get on twitter and follow Radical Something and the individual members Loggy and Josh Cocktail and support the movement. These dudes have been killing it all summer, and I’m excited to see what else they come up with.

Machine Gun Kelly – I Know (ft. Ray Jr.) (Video)

June 24th, 2011 by | Hip-Hop/Rap |

Machine Gun Kelly just dropped the visuals to “I Know” off his Lace Up mixtape. The track is fire, and whoever says MGK can’t rap is ridiculous. Kells has one of the hottest flows in the game these days, and he absolutely rips this song up.

Curren$y – She Don’t Want a Man (Video)

June 23rd, 2011 by | Hip-Hop/Rap, Music Video |

Curren$y just dropped the video for “She Don’t Want a Man” off his upcoming album Weekend at Burnie’s. I think the lesson to be gained from the video is that the way to understand women is to get super high, keep it chill, and they’ll leave their significant others to have sex with you. It’s kind of like a beer commercial but with weed. Enjoy, and roll one up for the album drop next Tuesday.

Curren$y – 3 Wishes

June 21st, 2011 by | Hip-Hop/Rap |

Shout-out to Hypetrak for dropping “3 Wishes,” a previously unreleased record from Curren$y da hot spitta. This track is not going to be Spitta’s upcoming album Weekend at Burnie’s, but it’s straight fire nonetheless.
