Why has my favorite new hip-hop been coming out of Canada? With the latest video from Zoo Legacy to everything Drake puts out to always remembering who the most underrated hip-hop artist of all time is, K-Os, Canada has been balling more in the hip-hop department than America, step up Patriots!
Here’s the latest hip-pop video from iSH which sounds like a radio hit if more well known artists were attached to this production. Watch the video to “Light Up” featuring Daniel Richter below. (more…)
“Never Gonna Let You Go” is the second release of iSH‘s remix series THR3MIX. It’s got a chill hip-hop/pop vibe that anybody can enjoy and adding newcomer Esthero for the catchy hook just makes this song so fun to listen to.
When I saw Ish Morris on the inbox of unread mail, I immediately opened it up to find that iSH finally has a new track. The song is titled “Rollin’” and is currently being used for the CTV London Olympics 2012 highlight reels presented by Coca-Cola!
Stream the hip-pop hit “Rollin’”.
Here’s another track from iSH that dropped a couple months ago and has an electro hip-hop vibe that I really dig as well.
Next comes rapper G-Eazy who has been gaining lots of steam for his sampling of songs that NO OTHER RAPPERS touch. In “Lost In Translation”, he samples the Japanese Pop song, “PonPonPon”, once again providing solid flow over killer production with excellent use of sampling. However I want to see G-Eazy make more original music which could potentially elevate him to a status similar to Hoodie Allen. DOWNLOAD “Lost In Translation” Lost In Translation by g-eazy
Next comes Crossover Kidz, a duo that I want to see touring opening for The Dean’s List as they both come from Berklee College and have top-notch underrated production. In “Thrill of It”, they sampled, you guessed it, Empire of The Sun‘s “Walking On A Dream”. I love the original so it’s hard to ignore the Crossover Kidz sample of it. “Thrill of It” is off their latest project Grow Up, Kidz, which you can stream here. Download “Thrill of It”.
I’m a huge fan of iSH, having put his song “Tomorrow They Will” on BYNH 2 back in December 2010. He’s progressed much since then and I always look forward to more from the Toronto MC. In “So Long” he samples Carousel‘s “Here Now” and it really is a must-download, the original the the iSH version as well. This is off iSH‘s upcoming Long Days, Short Nights project.
Lastly is a newcomer to BtB, YYou. In “Take Me Home Tonight” he samples the Eddie Money classic of the same name. I love the original so it’s hard to ignore this as well, although I love the original a lot more as I think YYou can improve upon his rapping. This song is off YYou‘s OTF album, which you can stream and download here. YYou – Take Me Home Tonight (prod. by Jonathan Lee) by Yyoulives
This is the first release from iSH‘s upcoming mixtape titled “Long Days, Short Nights”. iSH remixed Xaphoon Jones‘ remix of Savoir Adore‘s song “Dreamers.” So, I guess it’s a remix OF a remix….triple remix!
It’s that time of the week once again for Before the Bigs Radio. On today’s show, Up and Comer iSh will be calling in to chat about himself and his music a little. Be sure to tune in at 6 PM EST/3PM PST.

The collaboration between iSH & Don Diablo better known as Why are we Whispering in which they remix electro-Pop songs adding a little hip-hop from iSH and more electronica from Don Diablo.
Below is their latest remix to Don Diablo/Dragonette’s 2010 EuroPop hit, “Animale”. This latest Why are we Whispering remix still keeps in tact the best parts of the original “Animale” while adding some good verses from iSH and Don Diablo remixing it a bit while keeping Dragonette’s pop vocals. I continue to love the collaboration and so far Why are we Whispering hasn’t disappointed at all. Download Don Diablo ft. Dragonette – Animale (Why Are We Whispering ReVox) By the way, if your in the UK, cop this song now, since the track won’t be released in the UK until April 10th. However the UK record label gave iSH and Don Diablo the clearance to share this exclusive remix for free!
iSH and Don Diablo, better known as Why are we whispering, just put out a hot new remix over the club radio banger by Dev, “Bass down low”. Above is footage behind the scenes of the recording of the remix. The original is catchy but this remix is on another level with really good rapping from iSH and Don Diablo taking the song in a less poppy tone.
