Video+Download: Jhameel – Lion’s Den *Game Of Thrones song

April 6th, 2014 by | Alternative/Indie, Music Video |

Rising indie pop artist Jhameel has released a new song and video that’s a tribute to HBO’s Game Of Thrones series. I’m a little late on this but today’s a good day to release this with the new season of the show starting tonight (CANT WAIT!!!).

The video is for his new single Lion’s Den, the title track off his upcoming album.  It features a flaming torch, a majestic wolf, and some bad-ass armor (to protect him from the haters). I’m glad Jhameel is as obsessed with Game Of Thrones as I and many other fans of the show are!

Anyway watch “Lion’s Den” below, it’s a relaxed song perfect for a Sunday and to get you pumped for GOT returning tonight! (more…)

Watch: Jhameel – Shadow of a Man

I’m really proud to share Jhameel‘s new music video for “Shadow of a Man” with you.  The video captures Jhameel‘s raw emotionality as he watches a loved one crushed under the weight of an abusive relationship.  Shadow of a Man was directed, shot, conceptualized, and edited in-house by Jhameel and his team with no outside support or funding, making it a fully independent project.  The video was shot amidst the wrecked and abandoned buildings of Salton City, a desolate California ghost town left to decay by its inhabitants in the 1970’s.

e-dubble‘s been releasing a ton of new stuff in recent weeks and just recently, he dropped Reset EP, a six-track EP filled with upbeat fun alternative hip-hop with real interesting instrumentals. Plus in “Code Words” he gets Jhameel on the hook, maybe the best song on the project.

Download: Stayin’ Alive by the Bee Gees covered by Jhameel

August 17th, 2012 by | Pop |

Jhameel recently posted a cover of his absolute favorite song, the Bee Gee’s Stayin’ Alive. I like the dark, moody atmosphere he put on this one, it digs into a more desperate interpretation of the words ‘Stayin’ Alive’ and modernizes the song from it’s 70’s recession roots and puts into a new 2012 recession context.

Video: Jhameel – A Maiden Calling *must-watch!

August 2nd, 2012 by | Electropop, Music Video |

I’m incredibly thrilled to present to you Jhameel‘s new music video for his fluttering, ethereal song “A Maiden Calling”.  In making this video, they hoped to capture both the natural beauty of a Hayao Miyazaki film and the pulpy drive of a classic adventure flick. Either way, I find the video really interesting and love the chill alternative electro-pop vibes of the song.

Jhameel – Walls Down

June 28th, 2012 by | Album/Mixtape/EP Review, Electropop, Pop |

To celebrate the successful release of the Are You Free musical series, I am excited to share Jhameel‘s surprise encore track, ‘Walls Down’.  We had a great time sharing this past series with you and now you can purchase the 6-track Are You Free EP on iTunes.

‘Walls Down’ is Jhameel’s examination of his own vulnerability and development throughout the creation of Are You Free.  Jhameel’s dramatic encore features fluid, brooding melodies over a pulsing electronic beat, while lyrically it encapsulates how the past series has affected him personally.

Stream “Walls Down” below.

Jhameel – Let’s Run Away *post-rock anthem

June 13th, 2012 by | Electronic Rock, Electropop, Rock |

Sorry we are a day late on the latest from Jhameel, busy day yesterday. Here’s what Ryan Rubin, bassist of Jhameel said about the latest song:

With the climactic atmosphere of a post-rock anthem, ‘Let’s Run Away’ immerses the listener in a dark but hopeful fantasy. Jhameel‘s captivating, desperate vocal performance inspires an adolescent longing for escape, building the track to an explosive, gut-wrenching peak.

Stream and download “Let’s Run Away” below.

The band is moving to LA in August, can’t wait to catch them at more shows and hopefully continue to expose our audience to their unique sound.

Jhameel‘s latest song is “A Maiden Calling” — a fluttering, ethereal indie-pop track, which follows Jhameel as he is inextricably drawn to a maiden’s mysterious siren-like call. The track is the third installment of the five part series Are You Free
