Hidden Gem: Kids At The Bar *rising electro duo

November 12th, 2012 by | Electro, Hidden Gem, House, Remix |

I’ve been following Kids at The Bar since seeing them live in late 2011 in which they opened for disco house DJ Treasure Fingers at Avalon Hollywood. Since then, they released some massive remixes and in the last month released tow electro bangesr you need to hear!

The latest is an original they released with Whiiite that you can get on beatport. It’s called Tormet and has an electro-house vibe that builds real smoothly into a high energy EDM banger.

Then a few weeks back, Kids at the Bar released a remix to one of their all-time favorite tracks, Justice‘s “DVNO”. It’s a massive banger and been getting positive feedback everywhere they’ve played it.

Justice – Audio, Video, Disco (album)

October 25th, 2011 by | Album/Mixtape/EP Review, Disco, Electro, Electronic Rock, Electronic Tuesday, House, synthpop |

Today a real treat of an album came out from French electro/rock duo Justice. The album, Audio, Video, Disco is a mix of synths and electronic rock that are pumping with energy, banging with rhythm and overall having a consistenly awesome sound with various genres interlaced including electro, arena rock, disco-house and much more.

I enjoy almost every song on Audio, Video, Disco, there’s such an epic kind of sound apparent in many of the songs on the album with an almost cinematic production applied.

Here’s my five favorites from the latest Justice album that we haven’t posted yet.

Justice – Helix *electronic rock / french electro

September 13th, 2011 by | Electro, Electronic Rock |

Electronic rock or French electro, not sure how to categorize the latest Justice track, “Helix”. Either way, “Helix” is another banger from the French electronic music duo. Shouts to TSIS on the find.

Amazing music video: Justice – Audio, Video, Disco

September 6th, 2011 by | Dance, Electro, Electronic Tuesday, Music Video |

Justice brings the awesome visuals again with “Audio, Video, Disco”. If you remember their video to “Civilization“, then you understand that Justice has been getting real epic with their videos lately. Hard to describe this one except the camera shoots for a long time rather than many cuts as you’d see in most productions.

The song is quite entertaining as well, continually flowing. However the music video gives the song it’s due “justice”. Listen and download the electro banger “Audio, Video, Disco” below.

The single will be out September 19. Read more to watch the official music video to “Audio, Video, Disco”. (more…)

Justice – Civilization (video + mp3)

May 27th, 2011 by | Electronic Rock, Music Video |

French electronic duo Justice are so talented. We heard “Civilization” a while back as part of an Adidas commercial then the full song was released building even more buzz on the latest from Justice. Justice has created an immense amount of excitement based on a single track, building the anticipation over a course of months, not weeks.

Today they dropped the official music video and I was surprised by how stunning the visuals are as the backdrop for such an epic dance/electronic tune.

Electronic Tuesday with Steve Angello, Afrojack, JUSTICE and much more

Bam! How you like me now?!

Steve Angello and Alex Metric have a song that has been so overlooked. The new video teaser is above and the DL for the full song below. Really exciting stuff, personally. It’s called “Open Your Eyes”.
Open Your Eyes (Original Mix)
And then this Afrojack track was released earlier this week and it’s got his name written all over it: happy synths against a strong bassline, pretty basic in some places and complex in others. Check out “Doing It Right”:
Doing It Right (Original Mix)
Finally, the brand new Justice song! Totally electronic, and absolutely smashing, all about “Civilization”, and it’s pretty damn unique.

I love Avicii. Easily my favorite DJ. I wish I could marry him and just hug him forever. He remixed Tiesto‘s “Escape Me” and called it the “Avicii’s Remix at Night”:

And now for your dubstep fix: the Eyes Remix of Katy Perry’s “E.T.”.
E.T. (EYES Remix)
The Flinch Remix of Hussle Club’s “Loose Tights”.

Mashup Monday: Love edition

February 14th, 2011 by | Mashup, Mashup Monday |

Here’s my favorite mashups that have the word love in the title, in honor of Valentines Day.

First is the most recent mashups by Party Ben. It’s a dope mashup with several artists and a variety of songs mixed together.
Party Ben – Let There Be Love/Beethoven Lockdown (Kanye vs. Justice vs. Soulwax vs. Walter Murphy)
Next is The Hood Internet who mixes Asher Roth vocals with The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart’s instrumentals. It’s The Hood Internet so you know it’s going to be a good mashup.
The Hood Internet – I Love Friction (Asher Roth vs The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart)
Next is a mashup between Kanye West and Fall Out Boy. It’s mixed really well and is quite catchy.
Kanye West x Fall Out Boy – I Don’t Care I Still Love Her
Lastly off one of my favorite mashup projects, Viva La Hova, comes a mashup produced by The Kickdrums called “No Love Coming Home” which mixes Coldplay with Jay-Z.
