Download: Keith Masters – Atlantis 1997 (Produced by Futurecop! and Kill Them With Colour)

February 6th, 2014 by | Hip-Hop/Rap |

Keith Masters is back with his latest single, “Atlantis 1997”, produced by synth-wave 80’s pop sounding UK band Futurecop! and Toronto DJ duo Kill Them With Colour. The production is top-notch, lyrical flow is on point, I think this is definitely worth a listen if you dig hip-hop with interesting beats.

Stream and DOWNLOAD “Atlantis 1997”.

Keith Masters – I Can’t Go Now x Desoto *electromajic

September 20th, 2012 by | Electro, Electropop, Hip-Hop/Rap |

So I know I’m a few weeks late on the latest from Keith Masters but no fear, good music is here! A few weeks back, our boy Keith dropped a couple new electromajic songs that will get you dancing and singing along. Electromajic is Keith Masters style, upbeat electronic infused hip-hop/pop that gets you moving and/or singing along with catchy hooks and beats.

“I Can’t Go Now” featuring Sarah Leichtenberg is catchy but also might be typified into an electronic pop hop song that can be forgettable. Don’t get me wrong, it’s catchy and fun, but is this a song we will remember if it isn’t being played everywhere like the crap on mainstream radio? I’m afraid not.

“Desoto” featuring BASHtone has this fun unique sound. It’s upbeat enough that I would welcome it into the club plus he references one of the best dunkers in the NBA, Blake Griffin, so I can’t hate on this track.

April 9th, 2012 by | Before Bigs Exclusive, Hip-Hop/Rap |

Up-and-coming hip-hop artist Keith Masters performed at our very first #MusicFutureNow event. He not only killed it on stage but also had some wise words to say. We had a chance to sit down with him for a few minutes before his set. We asked him questions about his newest project Electromajic which dropped this past Tuesday among many other questions. Keith is a really awesome guy and solid performer as well. Check out Electromajic below.

Album: Keith Masters – Electromajic (The Remixtape) + exclusive DL!

April 4th, 2012 by | Album/Mixtape/EP Review, Before Bigs Exclusive, Electronic Dance Music, Hip-Hop/Rap |

Yesterday Chicago electro-rapper Keith Masters released his latest project, Electromajic (The Remixtape),   (iTunes). This project is a must-listen as Keith has this futuristic sound that he brings to the hip-hop game.

Stream Electromajic below. My favorites are “Rebel”, “1988 Girls” and “Gary Busey (Life Good)”.

Fortunately Keith Masters hooked us up with the radio edit version of “Gary Busey”, one of my favorite songs from the album with the hook “We living life good”, because aren’t we all just trying to live life to the fullest?

Last Wednesday, it’s was Oy Vey LA, post-valentine’s show from Team Kosha Dillz. There were many hip-hop acts, a couple I saw who I have nothing good to say, so I won’t say anything at all. Hidden Gem – Futurecop! *multi-genre dopeness

February 4th, 2011 by | Electropop, Hidden Gem, Hip-Hop/Rap |

It’s impossible to categorize Futurecop! in one genre because each song I have heard from them is completely different. They first started off doing electro remixes to popular songs then began releasing original electronica music.

Here’s three of my favorite: “Tonite’s Hero” which is an electro/hip-hop song featuring Kat Dawson & Keith Masters. “Venice Beach” is an electro-pop jam that has great instrumentals and catchy vocals. “Ain’t That Fresh!” is a remix to one of my favorite 90’s one-hit wonder hip-hop jams, “I Wish” by Skee-Lo.
