The man who helped bring in a new wave of hip-hop with Man On The Moon back in 2009 has returned to his hip-hop roots after a LONG hiatus with trying to make rock music and act. Kid Cudi teams up with close friend King Chip (aka Chip Tha Ripper) to create “Just What I Am”. This is classic Cudder at his best and hopefully is a sign of what is to come on his next album, Indicud.
Even though it is just a snippet, I had to post about this. Kid CuDi has released a preview of his next single off his upcoming rock album with Dot Da Genius on twitter. We haven’t heard much of this new album by WZRD yet but it has already been receiving mixed reviews online. Hopefully this snippet of “Teleport 2 Me” will change people’s mind because it truly is awesome and Mr. Mescudi is one talented individual. This rock album should further prove how versatile he is. I am very much looking forward to the full release of it. In the meantime, sit back and enjoy!
Pop singer Dia Frampton links up with Kid CuDi to put on a hit new single called “Don’t Kick The Chair”. If remixed a little bit, this track could soon be a radio hit. Dia Frampton has the voice of a superstar and adding Mr. Scott Mescudi’s unique sound and flavor to the song is only a plus. I enjoy this track and I am sure you will to.
Having been very busy touring and filming the second season of HBO’s How To Make It In America, Cudder has not released anything new of recent. Until this new track and music video surfaced called “No One Believes Me”. It is featured on the official soundtrack of the film Fright Night.
Honestly, Scott Mescudi is going down hill. Now that he is not on drugs anymore, he has lost his creativity and style we have all loved from him. I have said from the beginning that making a rock album is a big mistake for him. It looks to be appearing that way now…
This is not my favorite Consequence track. However, Kid Cudi has an awesome chorus and the beat is quite catchy. This track was produced by Kanye West so the credibility is there already. “On My Own” is off of Consequence’s next project Cons TV. Enjoy!
Kid Cudi & The Knux, yes please! After seeing a nearly amazing performance by Cudders last week at Nokia Theatre in LA, I’m super pumped for new music from him, even though I think it will be hard for him to top his debut album.
I digress, here’s The Knux‘s “Run” featuring Kid Cudi. Love the whole rock/pop band instrumentals, I was on the fence with the vocals in the beginning but once Cudder’s came on I actually liked the change of pace in the vocals. Kid Cudi displayed a little rap but looks like he’s ready for a rock album. I sure hope so.
Anyways this song is off The Knux upcoming album, Eraser, due out in September.
Bonus: Here’s a Kid Cudi “Day and Night” remix by Lunice. The remix isn’t too complex and not a ton of work done on the vocals. But with a Kid Cudi remix, you either do subtle remix or complex remix like Kill Them With Colour on “Symphonies“.
I have gotten back into a huge KiD CuDi craze since I saw him perform last night at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. Today, I came across a never released track by him called “Angels and Demons” which was supposed to be on his debut album Man on the Moon and was supposed to feature Clipse. However, this version I found does not have Clipse on it. Either way, it is an awesome track with a catchy tune. It is classic Cudder and not this rock shit he is doing now. Enjoy!
With lots of awesome music videos coming out today, I figured I save one of the best for last. Kid Cudi dropped the visuals for his widely popular track “Marijuana” of his sophomore album Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager. This video was directed by Shia Labeouf and it’s a good one. It shows Kid Cudi hanging out in one of my favorite European cities, Amsterdam. Keep up the great work Cudder. Enjoy!
Kid Cudi does things quite a bit differently then what we are used to hearing out of him. He provides a dark-rock sound in his new track “Perfect Is The Word” which is off his upcoming albumWizard, a rock-only LP. This album will be a different side of Kid Cudi showing how versatile his talent is. Enjoy!
