Hey everyone, I’m Matt (burnout) and I will be posting some amazing party playlists for all of you. I am a DJ (check me out HERE) so I want to share some awesome music for all your listening pleasures. Today I present to you, DJ Burnout‘s Summer Playlist; a 2-part playlist of 15 Summer Jams each that’ll keep you partying way after Summer ends. Here’s the tracklisting for part 1, 15 tracks that’ll guarantee many eargasms!
I created a 30 minute continuous mix that takes snippet’s of all the songs above. Let’s call this the pre-game mix and sampler for the party playlist you download below.

Part 2 Summer Party Playlist coming next Thursday at 7pm PST.
I recently stumbled upon a sick remix to Chris Breezy’s “Look at Me Now” by AC Slater. He keeps the original sound of the Diplo produced beat, maintains the flow of the lyrics, but transforms the track into an awesome dance party. Throughout the song, there are valleys, slow-buildups, and epic drops, the most of epic of which is the build-up through Busta’s rapid-fire verse, then the massive drop. All I know is I get to AC Slater in a few weeks, and I’m very excited.
It has been a whirlwind of a month, and I apologize for not posting as consistently. However, starting today and maybe even for the rest of my life, Electronic Tuesdays will stay strong. The theme of this electronic Tuesday is SUMMER. No excuses, you’re gonna go to the pool and jam out to these.
Really thinking this will satisfy your pool party needs! xoxo <3
I had this in my blog about playlist for more than a month after I found out about it on Indie Shuffle. You’d think I would blog about this as soon as I heard it, but lately I have been feeling iffy about mashups these days, generally because it’s one of the few genres I have a lot of experience seeing live and being skeptical it would be much different than not hearing it live.
Either way, I commend Mashup DJ Tumblewoof for putting together this dope A vs. B mashup project mixing one of the best indie rock/pop groups in Europe with one of the most controversial rappers of the 21st century in Lil Wayne.
Below is my 2 favorite mashups in the project, but I highly recommend downloading the whole thing on datpiff or support Tumblewoof by paying a buck for the EP on bandcamp.
Phoenix vs Lil Wayne – Stuntin’ Like 1901
Phoenix vs Lil Wayne – Officer Lasso

First let’s go with the softer pop remix from The Council on Mike Posner‘s “Bow Chicka Wow Wow” featuring Lil Wayne. If I were a girl I would love this song but as a guy I think it’s catchy with the piano, drums and finger snaps.
Mike Posner & Lil Wayne – Bow Chicka Wow Wow (The Council Remix)
Next we got one of our favorite electro hip-pop duos with AudioDax doing a dubstep remix of Mike Posner’s “Cheated”. AudioDax really turns this into a club hit and with the lyrics about cheating, this is a must-play at the dance clubs. They throw some rapping in too, behind the dope instrumentals they throw in furthering the quality in this one.
Last month, DJ Benzi put out a SXSW mixtape which consisted of many remixes from several DJ’s and some original tracks from up-and-coming artists. Below is one of my favorite tracks off the mixtape which is DJ Enferno remixing “Ambiguous” by Clinton Sparks & Mike Posner. No Big Sean in this, I think his lyrical flow doesn’t fit into the pace and catchiness of this club jam.
This came out in February but it’s dope as Johnny Lawson adds some catchy instrumentals and overall I’m very impressed by the instrumentals in this as it turns “Save Your Goodbye” into an electro banger.
I know I posted the above video already but it’s such an epic song and the video can be described in the same light plus it recently got deemed unsafe for people with epilepsy which I’m not surprised by. It happened to a video by Gnarls Barkley.
Anyways after watching the video, I got a few “All of the Lights” songs for you including one with Lil Wayne, Big Sean and Drake rapping to the beat, then Play N Skillz create a slowed up electronic pop hop cover/remix.
However I saved the best for last with a rocking cover of “All Of The Lights” that I absolutely love. Folk/Soul/Pop band Delta Rae captures the power of the original but takes it into a more acoustic rock direction. Follow Delta Rae on facebook and twitter if you like the cover below. I think Kanye would give a standing ovation to this song.
Four mashups from four mashups artists who have DJ in their name. First mashup is by one of my favorite mashup artists, DJ Bahler, who really knows how to make the most out of a song he is using in a mashup. He uses Tyler The Creator vocals and instrumentals with Gold Panda and Caribou in his latest mashup “Cellar Door” (song above). Download because DJ Bahler had the guts to use Tyler the Creator. Download “Cellar Door”
DJ PHRESH does more of a remix than a mashup when he uses upcoming hip-hop duo Dean & Ravo’s catchy song “Walkin’ Around” vs Capone. Not really sure who Capone is but I’m sure DJ Phresh used some of his vocals with Dean & Ravo. Solid electro instrumentals but I’m more a fan of the Dean & Ravo vocals.
I like DJ Ryno because he uses several songs pretty well and you can easily point out the songs he uses. However easily identifying the vocals and instrumentals also means the transitions are a bit slow but overall DJ Ryno is solid and if you like the mashup below, then you can download his last mashup mixtape, Nocturnal Concepts.
Next to Last by DJ RYNO
DJ Invisiboy recently reached out to us and at first I didn’t like the mashups because it’s music ADD overload with how crazy some of his mashups are. However “Rawnald Where You At” is my favorite featuring Lil Wayne vocals overal Starf*cker‘s insanely catchy indie rock instrumentals which Invisiboy sped up.
I know Chris Brown ain’t a role model or anything good or an emerging talent which we usually cover on here, but his music is really catchy. I’m not into the R&B/Pop stuff that much except for John Legend but Chris Brown always seems to make good catchy pop songs.
Below are three catchy hip-hop/pop songs with Chris Brown, they have a nice electronica feel and are produced by some of the best DJs around the world in Benny Benassi, Diplo and Afrojack.
Uh oh, more “Black & Yellow” remixes. However the above song is an awesome cover by Cris Cab with a reggae feel.
Anyways, the first song below is the dope alternative/reggae cover by Cris Cab (video above). I love the acoustic guitar, the reggae drums and overall the different direction Cris Cab takes it.
Cris Cab – Black & Yellow
Then we got 3 mashups, a superbowl mashup from Mother Earth Remixes, The Hood Internet mixing “Black & Yellow” with The Go! Team and Cake Effect mashing “Black & Yellow” with Rusko.
The Hood Internet – Brigade & Yellow [Wiz Khalifa x The Go! Team]
Mother Earth Remixes – Black and Yellow vs Green and Yellow (Superbowl Mashup)
Cake Effect – Say Black & Yellow Everyday (Rusko x Wiz)
