So one of my favorite rappers ever, Lupe Fiasco, is a DJ! Basically he released a couple banging electro-dance songs in the last month and they are must-listen tracks. SNDCLSH is the collaboration between DJ Lupe Fiasco and DJ Sky Gellatly. Plus they get the help of DJ Kue, not a bad addition.
If you love Lupe Fiasco or really dig electro-dance pop, this will find SNDCLSH enjoyable.
New remix by Lupe Fiasco. This time he sample’s Bassnectar’s remix of Ellie Goulding’s “Lights” and absolutely kills it. The beat is already amazing as it is by itself, but Lupe always does an amazing job at rapping. This is the first leak off his upcoming mixtape Friend Of The People which is scheduled to drop on Thanksgiving day. Enjoy!

Wale has been making lots of new music in the past couple months. Love how most of Wale‘s latest songs have been upbeat and/or the rapping is off the hook! Even though Wale is working under my least favorite rapper in Rick Ross, I still think Wale can still have that quality sound he showed in his mixtapes and his debut album.
Here’s five songs that we haven’t blogged about yet that you hopefully haven’t heard yet. Wale‘s upcoming album, Ambition, drops November 1st through Warner Bros. Records.
So I couldn’t sleep and while flipping through the channels in the wee hours of the morning, I landed on MTV where I saw this very political and intense music video of Lupe Fiasco’s “Words I Never Said” (featuring Skylar Grey) which was off his recent album Lasers. I highly recommend you take a look at this video as it will definitely get you thinking. Enjoy!
I love songs that have sounds that can’t be put into one category. Some of you readers notice I love music that can’t be defined by one genre. It just seems to sound real fresh to me when I hear music that mixes genres.
First let’s start off with a song from Travis Barker‘s latest album, Let The Drummer Get Wicked. It features Lupe Fiasco and the rapping is dope over the rock instrumentals. Lupe’s flow just comes off the instrumentals so smooth for over a guitar and drum beat. Lupe Fiasco – Joaquin Phoenix ft. Travis Barker Curren$y be”Soundbombin’” on this track, basically just killing it with his flow on the live drum set with the rocking instrumentals. Curren$y – Soundbombin
Next we got LA rapper Murs and Jacksonville punk band Whole Wheat Bread joining forces for a song called “I-10″, named after a freeway I cruise along in LA a lot. I love the punk rock instrumental and chorus with Murs killing it as usual with his unique flow. Murs = best LA underground hip-hop artist. Murs and Whole Wheat Bread – I-10
Next we got The ILLZ with a song that put out in February called “Learn To Fly (The Rocket)”. I haven’t loved every song from them, but they sound real close to a local act I love, SomeWhere Else. If I were flying now, this would be one of the dopest songs from lift-off. The ILLZ – Learn To Fly (The Rocket) [Single Version]
Lastly I wanted to give you a fun-loving song from MTHDS. I featured them a few weeks back with “Positive Movement”. Here’s another hit from their last release, Ship Of Fools (download), called “A Song About Life”. MTHDS – A Song About Life
With a handful of tracks from XV’s newest albumZero Heroes, leaking in the past month or so, we present you with the album in it’s entirety which officially dropped today. Vizzy is once again sensational in this album, setting him aside from many of the other hip-hop up-and-comers in the game right now. In this album, he shows many influences similar to Drake and Lupe Fiasco. The Wichita, Kansas native continues to impress with his work and he is only getting better. Each track provides it’s own uniqueness which you will not be disappointed with. XV has put Kansas on the map and thats just the beginning. This guy is way better than Wiz Khalifa in my opinion and soon the mainstream radio stations, MTV, and everyone will know who he is. He is quickly becoming a household name which you should not be sleeping on whatsoever. Check out some of my favorite tracks fromZero Heroes and definitely download the entire album. Enjoy!
We all have already heard and love Lupe Fiasco’s newest album,Lasers, but there is another track which was left off of it which I love so much. It has been around for a while now but have just heard it for the first time yesterday. It’s called “Stereo Sun” featuring Eric Turner and it’s awesome! Everything about this track is great; with Lupe killing it as usual with his rapping, the instrumentals being as catchy as they are, and Eric Turner doing his usual thing in the chorus. This is a complete and great all around song that I know you will all enjoy a lot!
