Our resident DJ/blogging contributer DJ Burnout recently dropped his latest mashup mixtape, It’s a Mash, Mash, Mash World (DOWNLOAD), 17 tracks of mashup bangers! Here’s a seven-track sample set from the mixtape to get you pumped for this banger MUST-DOWNLOAD mixtape. It’s A Mash, Mash, Mash World! by DJ Burnout
Recently a bunch of up-and-coming mashup DJs put out Swagged Out: Volume 2 (DOWNLOAD), a remix/mashup mixtape featuring several dope bangers. Here’s a word from the artists:
As a team, we have put together this mixtape for your enjoyment. It contains nineteen tracks from nineteen different producers. Some will make you rage your ass off, others will let you chill out and relax to the beats. Most tracks are mashups, although some may just be beats and remixes. We hope to showcase what we can do as a team and bring musical enjoyment to your ears.
In early August, The Abrahammer released his latest mashup mixtape, How Dubstep Music Destroyed My Life (DOWNLOAD). It’s a pretty good project with several very enjoyable mashups that are a mix of the two most common mashup types which include A vs. B mashups like The Hood Internet and The White Panda while also having elements of the music ADD mashups like Super Mash Bros and Girl Talk.
Stream How Dubstep Music Destroyed My Life below; my three favorites include, “You’re My Diamonds, My Honey”, “Turn It Too” and “Plus I’m a Laptop”. How Dubstep Music Destroyed My Life by The Abrahammer
Wugazi made a mashup featuring alternative rock songs instrumentals with Wu-Tang Clan vocals/rapping in the mashup mixtape, 13 Chambers (DOWNLOAD). Loving how the classic lyrics from Wu-Tang gets thrown into a variety of alternative/indie rock songs. Stream and download the mixtape below. My three favorites include “Sweet Release”, “Killa Hill” and “Forensic Shimmy”. Wugazi • 13 Chambers
Recently Mover Shaker released his latest mashup mixtape, The Fortress Of Steezhood. The project has many catchy mashups that mix a variety of songs. It’s a breathe of fresh air compared to most other mashup DJ’s who might just mix one instrumental with another vocal or two. I like that DC DJ Mover Shaker mixes songs in and out but not in the sense that you can’t tell which song is being mashed in.
Here’s one of his latest songs that I really enjoy even though he’s already used the instrumentals, still a sick electronic mashup. Collide The World Into Darkness

Mashup artist, The Friendly Giant released his latest mashup mixtape, No More Fairy Tales about a month and a half ago. I finally found time to post this must-download mashup mixtape that has track after track filled with catchy mashup fun. His catchy fun mashups is a big reason why we featured one of his mashups in our last compilation mixtape, Best You Never Heard III: Spring Edition.
DJ Jewboy takes a stab at throwing dubstep into one of the best folk rock bands out now, Mumford & Sons. Does it work? With Skrillex I think it works since he’s more than just dubstep and Mumford & Sons are so fun when you really get into their tunes.
DJ Jewboy also released a mashup mixtape back in early May called Let My People Flow. Once again he shows improvement as he moves beyond A vs B mashups towards mashups in similar style to Girl Talk and Super Mash Bros but slightly less all over the place. Here’s my 3 favorites off Let My People Flow (DOWNLOAD). All We Wanna Do Is Party Do It Big Wanna Spend It All
