We are proud to present our 5th edition of Best You’ve Never Heard, which features 18 songs from up-and-coming artists in a variety of genres that we love. We set stricter guidelines this time in choosing emerging musical talents, only selecting artists who, as of December 28 2011, have less than 5,000 facebook fans. I know I’m a little late, but B-Roc of the Knocks released a sick dance party mix to celebrate the holiday weekend with. I’m not familiar with any of the individual tracks, but just push play on this 40ish minute mix and you have your party right there. The mix contains no heavy whomps or nothing too intense, just 40 minutes of non-stop dancing.

Recently, chillwave rockers Toro y Moi put out a 37-minute mix for Modular’s Modcast series. It starts off with some reggae and gets real weird from there. The mix is full of retro sounding tracks from motown to freaky rock and roll, and the moods shift so smoothly.
