Download: Rich Kid Sound System Say It Aint Sew *hip hopHere’s an original Rich Kid Sound System song that didn’t make their their upcoming album. It came out about an hour ago, don’t have much details yet but I will be sure to add some more details when I get word from RKSS.

“Say It Ain’t Sew” has a must-listen guitar riff, solid hip-hop rhymes and even though it’s a little on the simplistic side and leaves you wanting more, I think this is still a solid song but I see why it was left off the album. Enjoy “Say It Ain’t Sew” below!

SOMEBODY ART WORK Gotye Somebody That I Used To Know (RKSS Remix)For this BEACH DAY installment, Rich Kid Sound System decided to do something a little different than they are used to and remix Gotye – “Somebody That I Used To Know” … RKSS had lots of fun with this! The rapping is solid but overall with a catchy alternative sample like Gotye, it really puts your music on some next level ish.

rkss Rich Kid Sound System Sonnet 27 Less than three weeks after releasing “Not Far From Home“, Rich Kid Sound System returns with yet another hit just in time for the start of summer. It’s called “Sonnet 27″ and it has a great beachy, laid-back sound to it that we are used to hearing out of them. I really enjoy this track and I know you will as well!

rkss Rich Kid Sound System – Not Far From HomeIt’s been a little of a month since I’ve heard from Rich Kid Sound System but they are back with an awesome new track. This song is called “Not Far From Home” and it has the laid back, summer, hip-hop sound to it that we know and love from the group. This is off their upcoming EP which was supposed to drop on April 20th but has since been pushed back a little bit. This new track provides a positive start to the summer and a very enjoyable beginning of summer holiday, Cinco de Mayo. Enjoy!

Hidden Gem: Rich Kid Sound System

avatars 000001262670 ux9dkw crop Hidden Gem: Rich Kid Sound SystemI heard of these guys back in July through P&P, decided to wait on giving them “hidden gem” status until I heard another song, which I heard today. I featured their first song “A Little Bit Of Time” on our 25-track end of summer “Best You Never Heard” mix (download).

This Florida-based hip-hop band has instrumentals and mixes genres so it’s hard to give them a music category, much like SomeWhere Else.

I think awesome would suffice as a music category for them, or maybe hip-pop. Any other categories of music for RKSS.

The mix is 25 songs released this summer (May-August), by artists who haven’t released a debut album yet. The only exception is “All Summer” by Kid Cudi, Best Coast and Vampire Weekend because that’s one of the best songs released this summer.
