Too big for Hidden Gem: Feed Me *electronic variety

July 24th, 2011 by | Dance, Dubstep, House, Remix |

A rising UK DJ who has a electronic mix of sounds is quite talented. He already has over 60,000 fans on facebook, is playing all over the world and has a real catchy electronic sound with a little bit of dubstep, electro, house and overall real upbeat. Here’s my three favorites from Feed Me who kind of reminds me of Deamau5 or Skrillex.

Catchy songs to party to *Akon, The Academy, Ian Carey & Robyn

February 2nd, 2011 by | Dance, Hip-Hop/Rap, Pop, Remix |

Below are four songs I have been waiting too long to blog about that are upbeat catchy songs that fall under either electronica, pop, hip-hop or a little bit of all three.

“It’s On” by The Academy came out in late December and is a great song to start the party and/or pre-gaming. “Industructable” by Robyn is a good song (video above) but then A-Trak remixes it (remix below) to make for a dope Electro-Pop track and a must listen for partying. “Last Night” is by Ian Carey and features Bobby Anthony and Snoop Dogg for a party song that should be on the radio if it isn’t already. Lastly, Akon recently released “Wake Up Call (One More Time)”, another catchy electronic pop hop jam that will be on the radio, played in the clubs and is a good song to blast at parties.

Robyn – Indestructible (A-Trak Radio Edit)

Robyn & Snoop

August 10th, 2010 by | Dance, Hip-Hop/Rap, Miscellaneous, Pop |

Two artists you wouldn’t see working together have collaborated on two songs: “U Should Know Better” by Robyn featuring Snoop Dogg and before that they did a remix to “Sensual Seduction” with Robyn featured in it. Snoop Dogg hasn’t had the biggest success lately with his album releases, but since he started getting featured from artists ranging from Gorillaz and Robin Thicke to Katy Perry and Robyn, the songs have turned into hits.

For those who don’t know, Robyn is a swedish singer-songwriter who was known in the late nineties for some dance-pop hits. She started to gain mainstream success worldwide with her #1 hit single “With Every Heartbeat” and album release. Body Talk Pt. 2 is due for release in September, a follow up to Body Talk Pt. 1, released in June 2010 and in December she is expected to release Speak Your Body: Body Talk Pt. 3.

Robyn is the next pop artist I see hitting it big in 2011 and the Snoop Dogg feature definately helps, as he is one of the best west-coast hip-hop artists.
