Pretty sure I was prepping for the double weekend right about the time of this release on July 3 which is why it flew under our rader. However I downloaded Theophilus London‘s latest mixtape, Rose Island Vol. 1, and I must say, it’s a MUST-LISTEN with several tracks I’m really digging.

Once again, Theophilus brings a futuristic rap that is fairly abstract and different from much of the hip-hop out there. He has sort of an urban pop/hipster-hop kind of style and while seeing TL live was a disappointment, his latest project is quite interesting and worth a listen.
