Aylen New Remixes of Rusko and Afrojack

Andrew Lin or, Aylen has been featured on the site multiple times, and every time, he has done nothing but kill his tracks. This kid can remix anything and everything, and they all flat out bang. Aylen will have a huge 2012 due to his funky electro style and his awesome ability to remix huge tracks no matter what genre they are in.

The first track, Aylen’s remix of Afrojack and Shermanology‘s “Can’t Stop Me” is straight fire. Where Afrojack inserts Dirty Dutch madness, Aylen switches that for flat out funky electro. Give this a listen and a DOWNLOAD and enjoy the hell out of it, cause it’s a party starter.

Afrojack & Shermanology – Can’t Stop Me (Aylen Remix)

The next track is Aylen’s take on a brand new Rusko track. And instead of change it’s style completely, he ventures into the Moombah category and succeeds above and beyond. This is a great track from Aylen, I picture this being played in the middle of a set in an effort to switch up styles a little bit, cause as we all know Moombah will get the people goin. Give this a listen and download, and turn it up.

Rusko – Shut Up ft. Mike Posner + Everyday (video)

July 26th, 2011 by | Dance, Drum & Bass, Dubstep, Music Video, Remix |

Rusko Shut Up ft. Mike Posner + Everyday (video)Rusko and Mike Posner combine forces to create “Shut Up”. It’s a silly track but the obvious intent is for this to get a dope remix that will land in the clubs and then mainstream radio. With the support both these artists have, I can easily see this happening so remember where you heard this first.

Either way here’s “Shut Up”, loving the instrumentals, loving how Mike Posner isn’t fucking with much importance on the vocals like he did on his debut album. So do you think this can be on mainstream radio or does it need a remix like “Cooler Than Me” experienced to get on the radio?

Rusko ft. Mike Posner – Shut Up
I feel guilty giving you one song, especially when it’s a mainstream song like this that’s been blogged about everywhere. So if you haven’t seen the music video to “Everyday” by Rusko, watch it after the jump and listen & download the song below. Just listened to the remix by Netsky, so listen and download that as well below.

Mashup Monday: virgins of BtB

March 21st, 2011 by | Mashup, Mashup Monday |

rip nate dogg Mashup Monday: virgins of BtBFirst RIP Nate Dogg, “Regulate” is one of the greatest hip-hop songs of all time!

Now onto some mashups. The mashup artists below have never been featured on Before the Bigs. The first few mashups are pretty chill while the last two have more upbeat electronic beats/synths to them.

First we got Vico Ono who uses the rapping from Skee-Lo over the always chill Jack Johnson instrumentals. If a music video was made for this song, it would be somebody laying down at the beach and slowly fall asleep, entering the dream sequence of the lyrics from Skee-Lo.
I Wish I Was Jack Johnson by Vico Ono
Next we got Fissunix who uses the instrumentals to the song all white people know the lyrics of versus the vocals of a Two Door Cinema Club song I love the instrumentals of. Oasis instrumentals vs. TDCC vocals, let’s all chill by the camp fire to this song.
Wonderwall You Know by Fissunix
T.I. vs The Beatles! Imagine if T.I. came out on stage performing this song while holding all those weapons he illegally owned. I don’t know how I would respond to such a site. Well done Benjamin Dranklin, the two words to best describe this song would be safe hip-hop.
What You Know About Blackbird (T.I. vs The Beatles) by Benjamin Dranklin
Next we got Clubsauce who uses two underrated artists in Clipse and Bag Raiders. Clipse and Bun B on the rapping with Bag Raiders electronica instrumentals.
Clipse vs. Bag Raiders – Wamp Wamp by Mouth by Clubsauce
Lastly Mr Physix “Soldier of Luchini” is Camp Lo vs Rusko vs The Temper Trap. I like how all three of these artists are blended in although you can probably insert another hip-hop act other than Camp Lo and still get a dope mashup. Download

3 mashups I love *Chambaland, Kevin Shoemaker, DJ Troublemaker

March 7th, 2011 by | Mashup, Mashup Monday |

king fantastic x rusko 3 mashups I love *Chambaland, Kevin Shoemaker, DJ TroublemakerBelow are three mashups that I really love but haven’t blogged about yet. In order of most recent to oldest.

DJ Troublemaker of King Fantastic recently did a mashup with the Killer Reese One vocals from “Why? Where? What?” (a King Fantastic song) with Rusko instrumentals. It really gives it an electro/dubstep feel with chill rap.
DJ Troublemaker – Why? Where? What? (King Fantastic vs. Rusko)
Next is one of the more interesting mashes, with Kevin Shoemaker mixing hip-hop with classical music. The hip-hop is Jay-Z & Kanye West, and classical piano from Rachmaninoff’s “Piano Concerto No. 2″. KShoe makes his mashups differently from most mashup DJ’s and I look forward to more from him.

Lastly is Chambaland who used mostly Phoenix instrumentals with Jason DeRulo & Imogen Heap vocals. The creativity in this is dope, and whenever you use Phoenix, I can’t help but enjoy it.
Chambaland – Nineteen Oh What (Jason DeRulo & Imogen Heap vs. Phoenix)

more black & yellow madness *reggae cover + 3 new mashups

Uh oh, more “Black & Yellow” remixes. However the above song is an awesome cover by Cris Cab with a reggae feel.

Anyways, the first song below is the dope alternative/reggae cover by Cris Cab (video above). I love the acoustic guitar, the reggae drums and overall the different direction Cris Cab takes it.
Cris Cab – Black & Yellow
Then we got 3 mashups, a superbowl mashup from Mother Earth Remixes, The Hood Internet mixing “Black & Yellow” with The Go! Team and Cake Effect mashing “Black & Yellow” with Rusko.

The Hood Internet – Brigade & Yellow [Wiz Khalifa x The Go! Team]
Mother Earth Remixes – Black and Yellow vs Green and Yellow (Superbowl Mashup)
Cake Effect – Say Black & Yellow Everyday (Rusko x Wiz)

Chris Webby – “Raising The Bar” [Part 2] Music Video x mp3

Above is the Official Music Video to Chris Webby’s newest single “Raising The Bar” [Part 2]. The video is a lot to take in at first because of the four different clips of him rapping the exact same song. However, it is quite unique and becomes interesting to watch. The song itself is really solid. Webby’s flow is amazing and you can’t go wrong with Rusko producing this track. Credit TMG for me first hearing this song.

Rusko – Dubsteppin’ his way to the top

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8RVKLcaIAE8?fs=1]

Rusko is a dubstep music producer and DJ from the UK. Above is the official music video for “Hold On”, a club dance song, not too much dubstep, but this is.

Rusko is not only one of the most popular dubstep artists but he has worked with M.I.A., Rihanna, T.I., Britney Spears and Sam Adams.
Why am I writing about Rusko, a dubstep artist in a genre we usually don’t cover. I think he is an awesome music producer and I really like the songs he’s made and hope you enjoy them as well.

In May 2010, Rusko released his debut album O.M.G.! which boosted his exposure further and more in the US. Here are two of my favorites by Rusko, “Da Cali Anthem”, “How Lo Can U Gizzo” and “Hold On”

I hope you enjoy and if you like Rusko, check out his myspace for tons of new music from him including remixes to many popular songs.

Sam Adams – new music video + “Hold On”

September 15th, 2010 by | Dance, Hip-Hop/Rap, Music Video |
Boston MC Sam Adams released the official music video for “Still I Rise” featuring G. Curtis. This was released today via MTV and although I enjoy Mac Miller more than Sam Adams among favorite white college-age rappers, Sam Adams is an artist to watch out for in the future, especially since he got this music video on MTV.
Below download “Hold On” produced by Rusko, an awesome dubstep artist who I see collaborating with more hip-hop artists in the future.

Enjoy!
