February 20th, 2012 by | Alternative/Indie, Electronic Rock |

Tic Tic Boom! For Feeling *alternative electronic rockWoah, Tic Tic Boom! music continues to evolve and change with every new tune they put out. Their latest track, “For Feeling” has a banging instrumentals that mix electric guitar riffs, slick synths and a drums to keep the song rocking. I’m a huge fan of Tic Tic Boom! and I’m not saying this because I have met the band and observed a meeting with their management back in 2011. I’m a fan of this band because of their genre-blending sound mixing alternative, rock and electronic.

Video: Dave Patten – Just For Me

February 16th, 2012 by | Music Video, Pop |

davepatten justforme 600x600 Video: Dave Patten Just For MeJust For Me is the first single from Dave Patten‘s upcoming album Gone, which will be released on February 28, 2012. The video is fun and upbeat from skyping with the girl he likes, to band rehearsal, to rooftop celebration and it would not be a Dave Patten video without having a lot of beautiful women in it.

As he sings “here’s to never giving up…” it not only focuses on going after the love you want, but can also be applied to life. If you have a dream that makes you happy, then you should give your all to achieving it and making it yours.

Dave once again produces the song himself and even throws a twist into it adding a new dimension of sound to his arsenal of variety. Patten continues to make feel-good pop music that almost everybody can enjoy.

Introducing Josh and Mer *Portland Indie-Pop duo

January 24th, 2012 by | Alternative/Indie, Pop |

Introducing Josh and Mer *Portland Indie Pop duoSoon after meeting in their home state of Oregon, Josh Schroeder and Meredith Adelaide discovered that they share common ideas about music, art, life, and their love of the beautiful Pacific Northwest. This connection fostered a creative match that quickly evolved into a musical project as Josh and Mer. Their debut album, Planet Music, was recorded with producer Jason Carter (Frank Black, Pete Yorn, Art Brut) and evokes a dreamy, experimental indie rock sound.

The Portland duo furthered their artistic vision by filming and photographing elements of their collaborative process. “We each bring something to the table that we otherwise couldn’t do alone, and I think that’s why it works,” says Josh, while Meredith adds, “We’re always trying to one-up each other with concepts, visuals, and sounds.

Josh and Mer are delighted to share their first single, “From The Sea,” with us today. DOWNLOAD “From The Sea”. Stream below!

davepatten justforme 600x600 Dave Patten Just For Me *single off upcoming album!2011 was a good year for Philadelphia artist Dave Patten and he’s going to be working even harder in 2012. “Just For Me” is the first single from Dave’s upcoming album Gone, which will be released in Spring.

Is this my favorite Dave Patten? Probably not, but it’s among my top 5 favorites.

Video: San Cisco – “Girls Do Cry” *Indie

November 28th, 2011 by | Alternative/Indie, Music Video |

KEA SAN CISCO MG 0076 1 600x400 Video: San Cisco Girls Do Cry *IndieThe other day I stumbled upon a dandy little music video by an Australian band called San Cisco. Basically, these indie poppers have swag. Having recently released their debut EP “Golden Revolver,” San Cisco is gearing up for an exciting year.

They released a video for their single “Girls Do Cry” and they collaborated with an independent fashion design collective based in New York. The video is a vintage inspired clip of several young women who are independent fashion designers. Needless to say, the song goes perfectly with the footage. Check out the awesome video below!

RDGLDGRN (formerly The Five One) – I Love Lamp

October 20th, 2011 by | Alternative/Indie, Hip-Hop/Rap, Music Video, Pop, Rock |

RDGLDGRN (formerly The Five One) I Love LampSo unfortunately DMV alternative/hip-hop band The Five One broke up as BLUE left the band to pursue a solo career. That didn’t stop the other members from continuing to make awesome music so they formed RDGLDGRN (pronounced Red Gold & Green). Recently RDGLDGRN released the music video and mp3 to their first single, “I Love Lamp”.

RDGLDGRN – I Love Lamp

“I Love Lamp” is directed, written, produced, and performed by the band RDGLDGRN and is off their upcoming EP titled When In Rome. We had the opportunity to sit in on one of their last studio sessions when they visited LA and I got to hear several of their other new tracks, which are all banging and feature a new sound that is more upbeat with much higher quality production value.

Personally I think this is the perfect song to release to start a new path for this band. The instrumentals are so catchy and come together so well, its obvious they took more time and passion in the production of “I Love Lamp”.

Dave Patten – Misérable *Music Video/Mini-Movie

October 4th, 2011 by | Music Video |

“Misérable” is the epic revenge tale of a heart-shattered accountant (*Dave Patten*), whose fianceé is murdered in cold blood by Philly’s most notorious crime Boss (*David Ricks*).  Left for dead, Patten makes a deal with the devil through the unlikely appearance of an old witch doctor (*Kevin Brown*).

This video gave me chills to watch, amazing production from Dave Patten who not only wrote and directed this music video, but edited it, produced it and did a bunch of other stuff to make this into an excellent mini-movie/music video to his latest song, “Misérable”. The song, the video, the way everything comes together to tell the story is just so dope, there isn’t a second wasted in this 10 minute video, which is a must-watch.

Download the single “Misérable” on iTunes.

Weapons of Audio Night Light *must download party anthem! When Weapons of Audio exposed me to “Night Light” - their unreleased cut co-produced by Grammy award winner Graham Marsh - I knew this was a future radio hit.
