“He was born again during a visit to Jamaica in February, changed his name to Snoop Lion and is ready to make music that his kids and grandparents can listen to.”
Snoop is currently working on a reggae album known as Reincarnated which is slated to release this fall. “La La La” is the first taste of it.He has finally smoked himself stupid. The beat produced by Major Lazer is pretty solid but Snoop Lion just sounds pure lazy on this track. Then again, that’s his style.
Give us your thoughts on this track. Do you like it? hate it? or don’t care either way?
We’ve saved the best for last! As many of you already know, Snoop Dogg & Dr. Dre closed off an incredible weekend at Coachella. It was such a big deal that I had to make a separate post for just this set. So many great rappers made guest appearances with the hip-hop legends. The names include, Eminem, Wiz Khalifa, Kendrick Lamar, 50 Cent, Tony Yayo, Warren Gand most notably the famous Tupachologram.
This was by far the best live performance I have ever seen. Not only am I a huge fan of hip-hop and grew up listening to many of these great artists, but seeing them all live on stage was something I will never forget.
The Tupac hologram which the whole world knows about by now looked so realistic live. It appeared that he was actually there performing “America’s Most Wanted” with Snoop Dogg. Apparently, the movements, look, and overall Tupac hologram performance was copied from a show he did at the House of Blues in Hollywood back in 1995. The only thing different was that instead of saying “What’s Up LA?!”, the people behind the creation of the hologram changed it to “What’s Up Coachella?!” with his voice sounding exactly the same. It was truly and incredible process and something I feel is going to catch on at other festivals and shows with other dead artists very soon.
Below are my favorite tracks from the entire performance. For those of you going for Weekend 2, you are in for quite a treat. Please go to this performance on Sunday night instead of Avicii. Nothing against Avicii, he is great; however, he is always traveling the United States and it is extremely rare to see all these great rappers on one stage at the same time, especially with that Tupac hologram. I am sure that the people who went to the Avicii performance regret it. Don’t be one of those people. Enjoy!
Tupac – “America’s Most Wanted” (featuring Snoop Dogg):
Once again, another awesome collaboration by Snoop Dogg& Wiz Khalifa. This time it’s “Smokin’ On” (featuring Juicy J). Unfortunately it is the clean version but regardless, it is an awesome hip-hop track. Wiz and Snoop continue to show that they make an awesome duo and I hope to hear more tracks like this by them in the near future. Enjoy!

As we drove down the 5 freeway headed to the Pacific Festival, the excitement level was rising like a hot kettle on the stove. With a loaded lineup headlined by Snoop Dogg & Cut Copy and artists such as Calvin Harris, Phantogram, Ghostland Observatory, Steve Aoki, Fred Falke, Bag Raiders, The C90′s, !!! (Chk, Chk, Chk) on the schedule, there was no better place to be on August 13th, 2011 than Oak Canyon Ranch in Orange County, California. Having VIP Backstage access was sure to make it epic. What follows is just that. E.P.I.C.

So were less than one month away to the first-ever Orange County Pacific Festival on August 13, 2011. I’m super excited for this festival as it features many underrated acts and I really respect the fact that the organizers of this festival were able to bring in so many quality acts in their first year of this festival. Here’s a cool Pacific Festival trailer to watch that has more info on the event.
Sit back and relax to some Snoop Dogg. I was looking at my blog about playlist and noticed I got 3 Snoop Dogg songs I havent posted yet so figured today’s a good day to chill to some Snoop Dogg music.
First a hip-hop/R&B song featuring Wiz Khalifa, “This Weed Iz Mine”. It has a retro old-school cool beat, dope flow, plus getting Wiz on the track doesn’t hurt. Snoop Dogg – This Weed Iz Mine f. Wiz Khalifa
Next we have a muhc more R&B track with “Choose”, another old school beat, similar chill flow. Snoop Dogg – Choose
Lastly, “Gangbang Rookie” ft. Pilot is a bit different, chill beat, but the instrumentals are nice with the piano being used, girls chanting out “Snoop”, probably the chillest rapper in the game goes to Snoop Dogg. Snoop Dogg – Gangbang Rookie ft. Pilot
Unfortunately you probably know where this post is going. I got three more remixes to Black & Yellow by Wiz Khalifa, two by Skeetox who masterfully did a superbowl remix mixing Lil Wayne’s “Green & Yellow” remix (download) with the original by Wiz Khalifa. I wish the NFL or FOX reached out to DJ Skee on using the song before the game yesterday. Would have been so dope hearing that after hearing the two well done vocal performances by Christina Aguilera and Lea Michelle.
Hopefully the last time Black & Yellow get’s remixed but I wouldn’t be surprised if a Packers fan takes one more crack at it like Lil Wayne did in his ode to Green Bay which was done before the Superbowl.
Skirllex is already everyone’s favorite new dubstep DJ. He has come out with a lot of great remixes in recent months and here is another one for ya’ll. Here is changes up Snoop Dogg’s “Sensual Seduction”, making it better and more heart pounding. Enjoy!
