Here’s a MUST-DOWNLOAD project from MY FAVORITE genre-blending band I’ve had the chance to see live, Rich Kid Sound System. I’ve been following this group since summer 2010 and each track they have released since has been better than before. This is a group that you need to keep an eye on as they just released their long-awaited album, No Cheers For Pioneers (DOWNLOAD).

Stream an 8-track sampler of the 17-track mixtape which includes my old favorites “Get What You Give”, “Hey! Young Girl!”, “I Want It All” and “A Little Bit Of Time”. Before listening to that, here’s my new favorite track off No Cheers For Pioneers, “Why Don’t They Dance”.

Hi-Rez just dropped a new single called “Rock with You” featuring singer David Minsky adding some flavor. The track has an upbeat party vibe and is definitely perfect timing for the summer. The beat is hot and Rez kills it as usual. I like that Rez brings a unique style being from South Florida, a place not thought of as a hip-hop hotspot. Young rapper Hi-Rez out of South Florida is seriously on his grind, dropping some visuals to “Gettin’ Started” off his Early Release mixtape. The track, produced by E.Dan of renowned production duo ID Labs, is a serious anthem and goes hard, even though the kid is from the tropical paradise of South Florida. Hi-Rez has serious lyricism, a unique style, and a sick video that you can watch below:

South Florida rapper, Hi-Rez made a deal that when his last video hit 50,000 views, he would drop another one. He said on Twitter that he thought it would take a month or maybe more, but he accomplished the goal in a little over a week. Those are some major stats for this up-and-comer from South Florida. With the hype building, Hi-Rez went ahead and released his latest video for “No Place Like Home.” Check it out after the jump.
