His live sets occupy some interesting area between UK electronic and American hip-hop, where his own intricate productions sounded right at home alongside Juicy J’s “Who Da Neighbors”. His set consisted of a slew of his intricate remixes including his “We Found Love” Rhianna remix and his Hundred Waters “Thistle” remix as well as his own original productions, “Chain Dumbin” with a verse from Juicy J and his latest release “Ladies In The Back” featuring Teki Latex.

I highly recommend seeing Star Slinger live as he got all the hipster kids at The Echo dancing.

Stream his three latest releases below.

Last night at The Echo in Silverlake, I saw a slew of awesome musicians. K.Flay, Lesands, The Chain Gang of 1974 and Tic Tic Boom! all rocked the place with style. The show was special in the fact that it consisted of artists and groups on a wide range of genres and not one specific type of music and it was Chain Gang’s last night of their residency at The Echo.

It varied from a female rapper with great electronic beats, indie and alternative rock, and more. Even though it was on a Monday night and the crowd wasn’t as large as I expected, the show was still amazing. Enjoy my favorite tracks from the show below!

Lesands – “Pretenders” [Download]
