With much anticipation for the release of his debut album Timez Are Weird These Days, rising star Theophilus London provides another new track off the album. This one is called “No Particular One” and it has a chill/reggae/summer sound to it. I enjoy the man’s versatility and cannot wait for July 19th when the album officially drops.

New Theophilus London Track on How To Make It In America Trailer

June 27th, 2011 by | Hip-Hop/Rap |

Over this past weekend, HBO officially put out a teaser trailer for the upcoming, second season of their hit show, How to Make it in America. With that, we got an awesome preview of a brand new Theophilus London track called “I Stand Alone”. It is only a snippet of it and the full track is now where to be found as of right now. However, this is another track off his much anticipated debut album, Timez Are Weird These Days, slated to come out July 19th. I could not be more excited for both the second season of How to Make it in America and Theophilus’ debut album.

Theophilus London – Last Name London *debut album single!

New Theophilis London, “Last Name London”, brand new single off his upcoming debut album, Timez Are Weird These Days, coming out July 19th through Warner Bros Records. Loving this indie/alternative urban pop/hip-hop whatever you want to call Theophilus’ music, it’s so interesting. I guess interesting would be a good genre for the Brooklyn MC’s music.

Listen and download “Last Name London” below, the instrumentals are so different and upbeat catchy, the lyrics are just as dope and the catchy hook just tops it off. Must download!

Theophilus London – Why Even Try *Pop/Funk dopeness

January 25th, 2011 by | Alternative/Indie, Hip-Hop/Rap, Pop, synthpop |

New Theophilus London off his upcoming A Lovers Holiday EP, dropping early February. “Why Even Try” sounds like Kanye West producing pop music in the 80’s and being influenced by some of the earliest hip-hop that had those funk instrumentals.

This song is retro-futuristic but more specifically can be called urban pop with the 80’s sounding synths, hip-pop from Theophilus and featuring Sara Quin from Canadian indie rock band Tegan & Sara on the vocals. Shit, if I confused you on some of what I just wrote, then listen and download the song already.

New Theophilus London remixes

November 16th, 2010 by | Alternative/Indie, Hip-Hop/Rap, Remix |

Two new remixes involving Theophilus London. The first is “Flying Overseas”, which Theophilus released off his last mixtape but in this version he got Solange Knowles (Beyonce’s sister) and Devonte Hynes in the song. Relaxed hip-hop/R&B song with some really good vocals.

The next song is a Penguin Prison Remix to Ellie Goulding hit song, “Starry Eyed” and features Theophilus London. Personally I enjoy this up-beat hip-hop/electro remix better than the original. Download

Theophilus London – “Fatal Attraction”

September 24th, 2010 by | Alternative/Indie, Hip-Hop/Rap, Music Video, Pop, R&B |

Theophilus London offers the world a new track this week, and I’m a fan. He is a talented individual who is ahead of his time. His music is slow-building but I like how it always picks up real nicely to make for an interesting sound overall.

We would consider him hip-pop, urban pop, retro-futuristic, or electro/hip-hop. He is a genre-blending artist who is only getting better.
