Here’s a nice chill mashup from Frail Limb Purity. I was actually surprised how well the vocals work on Treasure Fingers‘ remix to Miike Snow‘s’Animal’. Give it a listen and download below and show FLP some love on Facebook!
A few weeks back I attended Avalon Hollywood to see Treasure Fingers, GTA and Kids at the Bar. This was a banging event mostly because my favorite disco house DJ, Treasure Fingers, was performing.
Got there around 10pm, just in time for a warm-up to Treasure Fingers with Kids at the Bar performing. They had such great production from their remixes to their originals, yet I became dissatisfied with their drops in how the sound of the song completely changed directions. Although their tunes lacked chemistry between their openings, to the epic drop to the sound that came after the drop, I really enjoyed most of it and was grooving throughout their set.
Next came Treasure Fingers. This was my 2nd time seeing him and I actually enjoyed it more as his set was a bit tighter, lasting not as long but packing all his best tracks. When Treasure Fingers came on, the dance floor became much more packed, people were dancing, jumping up and down and had their hands in the air grooving along to Treasure Fingers appealing disco-house sound. Here’s TF’s latest original track, “Take My Hand”. Treasure Fingers – Take My Hand by treasurefingers
Lastly I briefly saw GTA a production duo heavy on house but with influences in hip-hop, salsa and much more. This is a group still a work in progress, still finding it’s sound, but from what I saw, they have some elements that are catchy, some that are heavy electronic and not the most appealing but overall a good club sound that will only get better. Here’s my favorite from them, “Zero Bad Boys” a GTA bootleg of Diddy‘s classic track. P.Diddy – Bad Boys 4 Life (GTA Bootleg) check info for free download! by GTA_

Last Friday we got media passes for Club Avalon Hollywood to review Disco House DJ, Treasure Fingers. Upon arriving at the infamous dance club in Hollywood, CA, I immediately fell in love with how spacious the venue is. With at least 3 different rooms where DJ’s are performing including the main stage area with hundreds of people on the dance floor, this venue is in a class of it’s own compared to other electronic/dance venues in Southern California.
Interviewing Treasure Fingers, we learned how he was a drummer before becoming a DJ and how he got noticed by and is releasing records with Fools Gold and Defected. Understanding that his variety of influences has helped craft his musical styles helped give me a greater appreciation for the Atlanta DJ.
After we finished interviewing Treasure Fingers, we headed to the main dance floor to enjoy his set which started close to 2am and lasted until close to 4am. The crowd was feeling it, with a fairly full dance-floor and enthusiastic dancing throng of people through most of his 2-hour set.
Overall Treasure Fingers was very enjoyable with some of the best disco-house tunes I have ever heard live! While it’s tough to single out certain songs during his continuously awesome set, my favorite was his remix to “Feelings For You” by Avicii and Sebastien Drums. When that came on around 3:30, I immediately moved closer to the stage and knew Treasure Fingers is the real deal and why Fool’s Gold took the Atlanta DJ into their family.
Dance music post! I suggest you press play on these songs, then get up off your ass and start dancing. It’s almost Friday, dance and cheer for that! Anyways, not sure where I was going with that, but here’s five dance songs. Some are originals, while others are remixes all with the same theme, get up and dance or at least try to sing along.
It has been a whirlwind of a month, and I apologize for not posting as consistently. However, starting today and maybe even for the rest of my life, Electronic Tuesdays will stay strong. The theme of this electronic Tuesday is SUMMER. No excuses, you’re gonna go to the pool and jam out to these.
Check out Amtrac’s newest release, a sexy remix to Treasure Finger’s “It’s Love.” He takes the already pretty groovy track and adds tons of layers, nuances, and simply put, more party. I’m a big fan of Amtrac because he adds elements of all kinds of electronic genres from dubstep whomps to smooth dance grooves. Everything Amtrac is putting out these days is awesome and if you aren’t dancing…you’re crazy.
