Wale hops on a hip-hop/dubstep style track from Skrillex. It’s pretty interesting but is it any good? I can’t enjoy that womp womp womp stuff unless I’m seeing in live but when you throw hip-hop or other elements into the production, you get mixed results.
Wale has been making lots of new music in the past couple months. Love how most of Wale‘s latest songs have been upbeat and/or the rapping is off the hook! Even though Wale is working under my least favorite rapper in Rick Ross, I still think Wale can still have that quality sound he showed in his mixtapes and his debut album.
Here’s five songs that we haven’t blogged about yet that you hopefully haven’t heard yet. Wale‘s upcoming album, Ambition, drops November 1st through Warner Bros. Records.
If all the Wale hating hasn’t stopped yet, there’s nothing he can do. This summer, Wale has come out with awesome track after awesome track with features from some of the best in the game. This latest track, “First Class” features Big Sean and B.O.B, and all of these dudes straight kill it. This song is a MUST DOWNLOAD. My only question is when is Wale’s next solo project going to come out? Wale is back. Go get em!
Wale just dropped the visuals to his latest track, “Cookup.” The track goes hard, featuring fellow MMG spitta Stalley along with Black Cobain and Tone P. “Cookup” is super hot and each rapper kills it on the beat. I’m always pumped to hear more from Stalley, someone who I think keeps getting overlooked. Still no word to where this track will end up, but check out the video and download the track after the jump:
This song is so chill and relaxed, I didn’t expect Wale to make a music video for a song that came out in August off his last mixtape, More About Nothing. “The Cloud” sounds better than almost everything he has put out under Maybach Music. Seriously, a quality track that doesn’t have any Waka Flocka shit and doesn’t have the same old Rick Ross beat that Wale has been banging for the past couple of months. Wale – The Cloud
Music video after the jump, loving the retro NBA All-Star jersey Wale is rocking and Tiara Thomas is smoking hot with the guitar and vocals. (more…)
My favorite rapper from DC, Wale, and one of my favorite new artists out of Philly, Meek Mill, collaborate to release “100Hunnit”, a feel-good rap song with rapid fire verses back and forth from each of the Maybach Music Group MC’s. I love this song mostly because of how the rapping is done and that it doesn’t sound like every Rick Ross song. Listen and download below. Wale & Meek Mill – 100HUNNIT
Wale and Mac Miller get together to give the world “So What” which is produced by Don Cannon. The two rappers never disappoint once with their flow and lyricism being flawless on this track. Don Cannon provides great instrumentals on the boards. The three combine make an awesome track which will likely be on repeat in many of your ipods and phones for a little while now. Enjoy!
An artist I was fortune enough to see live while in college, Wale, is under-rated and possibly one of the best rappers out of DC. He freestyles over the 90′s one-hit wonder by Kriss Kross called “Jump”. Seeing Wale live, you get the feeling that he’s only going to get bigger. Wale – JUMP FREESTYLE
